Surprised I haven't seen this posted up here yet. Some replacement ref names mentioned in the TSN link. Thoughts?

The NFL referee lockout was a disaster and that sport had a ridiculous amount of depth when it comes to officials, this could either force MLS to bring in top foreign officials or there could be some real bad games.
You'll probably see a bit of both. Chemistry / consistency are a big issue for any league but getting people in as short term replacements makes it impossible to manage.
Refs will come in with their own ideas if how things work. If we called the game to European standards, be that EPL / Series A / La Liga... It will end in lots if cards and madness because the lack of discipline here goes generally unchecked.
MLS refs are terrible enough for European newcomers, but how frustrated will someone like Defoe be by MLS REPLACEMENT REFS.

They are bringing in euro refs and EX mls refs so i see no problem.

MLS ref of the year, a decade ago. The complaints back then?
Too slow... And failed fitness test.
