Many people think Salcedo could be a TAM player (making between 600k and 1.6M), but is only listed as a DP for the time being. In particular Bob Bradley was asked if Salcedo could be bought down and he declined to answer.

Yeah. Although I have been getting BB is more of a straight shooter-direct. Even telegraphing his intentions.
He was thoughtful- diplomatic when asked about Soteldo.
So, maybe, the 'bob and weave' has to do with affording Salcedo the 'prestige', albeit temporary, of that designation?
IIUC, I mean he moved with (for) a little more money but not a transformative amount?
Edit.
Plus what noxx98 suggests.
I'm really intrigued to see what Jimenez can bring. He doesn't necessarily need to be a guy who can convert crosses. More importantly, he'll (eventually) need to be a high-IQ guy who can play WITH Insigne. Based only on a couple compilation videos, it looks promising.
Gotta respect the man for being part of the trade that brought in DeRo. Then, in keeping with tradition (or perhaps building it at that point), James scored in his first game back at BMO.
If you want a RW who is coming to MLS and is also very short, Xherdan Shaqiri is supposedly in advanced talks with an MLS team.
Going to the Fire supposedly. For now I don't see the need for another winger. For now we should have JJ - Peruzza - Schaff with Achara, JMR, & maybe Nelson/Kerr off the bench if needed.
I would save the $$$ for a Summer DP #9. No need to overload or unbalance us yet since this is year one in the rebuild.

I don't think the DP moniker carries more prestige than the money does, so I don't think it's about that. I think the league is probably still trying to figure out the details of the "swap" and how that plays into the DP rules (eg. what would the transfer fee be considered to be?). Will be interesting to see what the final decision is.

This was fun. against Pachuca. I think we played Independiente the same year. Those were fun times. Even though we were shit. lol
I'm not sure whether it was because everyone was wasted or we actually scored from a corner kick. Maybe both.
Props to whoever recorded this goal. We never score from corners. lol.
Nice. Enjoyed the post. Me likes the Mucha Lucha masked fan and is that still the same TFC drum?Quote:

I hope we can get back to that full fan-filled stands atmosphere and celebrations soon.
Another one on the outs? Auro linked to Santos.

And of course, like most teams in Brazil, Santos are broke boys so they want a loan deal.

No chance I would loan out Auro. We're thin at the fullback position as it is.
Oh boy... 'mass exodus' indeed.
I am getting the feeling BB went around in his team introduction meet and greets as well as any follow-ups...
To a core of designated keepers after the season ending first shedding saying...
This is the plan, we would like you to be a part of it, this is how I see you fitting in.
Let us know if you want to be here. Let us know if you want to be a part of it.
If not, we will accommodate a transfer.
Apparently only Pozuelo and Akinola have publicly stated so and Osorio seems to have indicated so.
If Auro goes, the right-side really needs to be addressed asap.
Perhaps they have a replacement candidate- a wing-back lined up already?
By the way, I like and am an Auro supporter.
In before we are linked to Alessandro Florenzi.
Well, well, well, another MB connect.
Seems to have played all along the right side.
Perhaps the 'real reason' why Manning is going to Italy?
For me, re: TheGoodson, Criscito was a 'done deal' a while ago so... maybe...
Unless it is to personally welcome Insigne.
I think Auro is not enough of something. He is serviceable at everything but not elite in anything. I am OK if he goes.
He's not enough of a closedown marker. He's not enough of an outlet passer. He is not enough of a fullback (or wingback) who causes anxiety going forward in transition. He just doesn’t, to my eye, have a high enough ceiling in any of the core skills you need in his position.
(Playing him as a CM sure as hell wasn’t the solution, Chris Armas. I still haven’t recovered from that. )
I miss those days. You could get away with smoking, bringing in booze (alledgedly). Someone crowd surfing in 112 one time. The guy who ran on the field and shit himself, all we are saying is give us a goal, Welsh scoring in the rain, when the Voyageurs cup was cancelled and the walkway was flooded & people were just dancing in the rain, the time when some poor NYRB supporters walked into 112 & was escorted out by security before he got pelted, Rohan Ricketts joining us in 112.... thats not even half the stuff that went down. I miss those days so much.
The squirrel that was on the field. The cat. & nothing will ever beat Dichio's ridiculous goal aginst New England & the pitch invasion.
Bolts falling out of the stands because of all the stomping & jumping? I can't believe it's been 15 years.
There might be more to this. Sao Paolo papers reported yesterday that a deal for Soteldo was done with Sao Paolo AND it was another player exchange; they had someone who was coming this way. But Soteldo couldn't agree contract terms with them and the deal fell apart.
If that's true, it may be that we have eyes on one of Sao Paolo's players and this is effectively a loan-to-buy exchange.
Just speculating.
^ Perhaps, on their right... Rafinha/RB- old, maybe Rigoni/RW- Italian connect and young or Vinicius/RB- young?
Rafinha is 36, so I can't see that. Rigoni seems unlikely as he's constantly moving clubs, Bradley seems like the stability type.
My money is on Igor (Vinicius goes by Igor, apparently). 24, valued at 2.5M. Quick right-sided wingback who has lost his first team spot.
