Thank you Danny for your years with TFC! Does anyone know where he's going
I am now sorry that Danny didn’t become the caretaker manager instead of Perez last year.
Just because.

Owner of Torino says Belotti has turned down their offer to resign with the club and has other ideas.
So the cost of us getting rid of Dwyer is our Superdraft pick. Another blight for the Curtis CV.
Spurs are my PL team so I follow them pretty closely. A big challenge they’ve had is recruiting someone to be a backup striker. Kane is going to start ahead of anyone, so convincing someone to join Spurs to play most league games on the bench is a tough sell. There aren’t that many top strikers who only want to play cup or European group stage games. I think they’d do better bringing in someone who can play on the wing or as a main striker. I don’t really know enough about Belotti to know if that’s him. Also who knows what Conte wants to do with the team.
Manning does not get a pass on this Dwyer thing. WTAF? How can this happen?
Total insanity. What exactly was Dwyer’s leverage to have a multi-year guaranteed deal? He was taken of the scrap heap. Should have been one year plus a one year team option, max.
This is pretty awe inspiring stuff. For a guy who moved at a snails pace, the few things he did were terribly thought out.
Last year's #3 pick was traded for $200k GAM and the #6 pick. The Dwyer deal was so bad.
A 6 year old could have negotiated Dwyer to a 1+1, I'm actually shocked. Not that the #3 pick is a guaranteed superstar but there's a good chance you get someone for the bench from there and we gotta give it away cuz Ali Curtis' #1 talent is misallocating resources
Yikes. Definitely looks like that buy out will be used on Jozy.
Wow that's brutal. We would likely have used that pick to let the next Tajon go for some no name player we sign for a year, but would have been nice to have that option.
Now we have two strikers on the roster. Peruzza and Altidore. Hmm
We could have just waived Dwyer and eaten his salary. I read some tweets that said his 2022 salary could be higher than the $80k quoted for 2021, either because the 2021 was only a partial year (we signed him in May or June) or because of escalators for 2022 (appearance bonuses?). So let's just say it's like 125k. I'm going to suspect that this was the best offer on the table for us. We can see what any other draft picks get traded for.
At the very least, this leaves more roster spots open for academy products to make the jump to the first team.
I am calling BS on this story. Dwyer made 81K last year. There is no chance this is true.
200k GAM + 6th pick was the cost for moving down to 3rd. So the 3rd straight up would be worth a lot more than that. With that pick you can get a Generation Adidas player, so 0$ budget hit for 3 years.
There definitely is something we don't yet know about the Dwyer contract, this doesn't make sense if he truly was set to be on 80k. Like other's have mentioned, he must have been due a big increase for the 2nd year.
and I'll echo, thanks a lot once again Curtis!
