Thank you again Denime but it's Tuesday, December 6th :)

Interesting article from Laura Armstrong, about Giovinco and Lodeiro:
"Giovinco will try to win small battle with Sounders’ newcomer"

Good morning D!

and that's all the news I have today.
-
that was a very touching story by John Molinaro.
We always knew - from the outside looking in - the being behind the scenes at TFC was the definition of a toxic working environment. I'm really happy to hear that the club has turned a corner.
-
Thanks D.
Parkdale, we agree with you on the story by John Molinaro.
Also it was nice that Molinaro mentioned Miguel Canizalez.
(as he was the 1st Canadian to score a league goal at BMO).

Great story by Molinaro. He's one of the good guys covering soccer.

First of all, thanks to all of you who reached out to me-either through this message board, via email or on Twitter-in order to compliment me on the story. Honestly, I wasn't sure how it'd be received. I'm not one for writing first person accounts. Nothing wrong with them, but it's not my style-I'm not the story, the players and team are. So I was very hesitant to even write it. But I'm glad I did, and I'm even more glad that it's been well received.
Second, yes, it was a very toxic atmosphere inside the club for a very long time, especially in terms of the interaction with the local media. I've always tried to offer critical but honest and fair coverage of the team. Even though I felt I did that during those many trying years, it was not always well received by players, coaches, etc. As I wrote, many times I considered walking away-not because of the losing, but because of that atmosphere and just because the job of covering this team was no longer fun.
All that being said, that atmosphere has completely changed in the last two years, and the team has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. There are still times when a coach or player will take issue with something that has been written. But the way they expresses themselves and handle it is always with a tone of respect.
I'm not sure if that came across in the piece, that the atmosphere has radically changed since the dark days. If not, let me assure you it has.
