The 0 was in green, hence I was attempting to make a "funny", implying that if he wore the number in green he better playing for a team that wears green.

No seriously dude,

I checked his stats over the pastt few years. Not that impressive. His stats show that at best he is as good as a half player. Therfore he should wear the number .5 or 1/2:D

werewolf

TFC_Toon

Being an Argentine striker I would think he would want the #10 (Ricketts).

GhostPK
02-13-2009, 01:48 PM
I heard he petitioned Fifa to wear 101 :P

Just kidding.

Hitcho
02-13-2009, 01:54 PM
I was wondering about this too. It's a tricky one ebcause on the one hand he's our great white hope for goals this season so should get a good striker type number, but on the other hand his recent stats are shite and he doesn't have much cache when it comes to commanding a good number, plus he's only a loan signing.

Bottom line is, whatever number he wears he needs to come in make the number his. He could take 54 for all I care, but if he scores 25 goals a season then everyone will be cramming to get 54 on their shirts.

Own that shirt dude, own it.

EDIT - if things go well and we sign him on a permanent deal for next season after he scores a bunch of goals, then he could feasibly get 9 when Dichio retires at the end of the season...

Pachuco
02-13-2009, 01:55 PM
Ibbe giving it up?

Well, where I come from he should. Being that he's not a starter. From where Vitti comes from, I'm sure he thinks so as well. I'm obviously assuming Vitti was brought in to start.

Vitti wore the #7 with Independiente I believe.

Hitcho
02-13-2009, 01:56 PM
Yeah, Ibbe has no claim to the 7 shirt whatsoever. That's a fuckign joke, however much we might hope for him in the future he doesn't warrant it now.

Still, kudos for getting it in the first place, that was no mean trick! :D

Great number, looks good on the back of a red shirt.

Always like key players to have solid numbers like 7,8 & 9

Hope he wears it as well as my favourite number 8.

Being an Argentine striker I would think he would want the #10 (Ricketts).

Strikers traditionally like #9 (eg. Batistuta, Crespo). Having said that though, #8 has been worn by the likes of Zanetti, Simeone, Basualdo, Caniggia .. so good sign :D

8 is the luckiest number in Chinese (China being the biggest part of the world). The word sounds similiar to "prosper" and "wealth".

88 also means double happiness.
