Nice read by Nigel. Nothing really new for anyone that has been keeping up on the Vitti situation.

shit he's getting good. okay, i said fairly up to date, out of the loop for the last 12 hours i guess.

good for chad though, will be fun to see him and vitti playing together, it will be one of the league's youngest striker combos i would think.

Reading that Article....he kinda sounds like the Argentine Andrea Lombardo....here's to hoping I'm wrong

I have that feeling as well. But I'm cautiously optimistic.

Except Lombardo never played with players of Messi and Aguero's quality.

And if Lombardo was able to pester defences without being able to finish, Vitti should tear up the defenses.

I'd rather an argentine version of Joey Melo to the actual given the latest U-20 World cup

I anticipate a lot of flopping coming I dunno why exactly but it seems to me we're looking at a younger GBS

maybe that's what Schellotto told him in the dining room in Bradenton???

What the hell does he mean when he says "So far his goal per game ratio in Toronto is perfect. If he can sustain that during the regular season his future will be bright indeed."
He hasnt played or scored. So if he still hasnt played or scored at the end of the season, he has a bright future ?
What the hell is a perfect goal to game ratio - 0.5, 1, 2, 6 ?

he scored 1 goal for Independiente in his 1 game at BMO.

He played one game in Toronto and got one goal (friendly last year). So he is basically saying that if he can get one goal per game for 2009 when playing in Toronto then it will be a great thing. 15 Home games = 15 goals. Pop a few more in on the road and badaboom badabing...

My natural disdain for flopping notwithstanding, if he's anywhere near the player GBS is, I'll be quite happy to have him.

I'm just saying....realitvely speaking here

if Vitti is to Lombardo, what Messi is to say...DeRo, and Riquelme is to JDG...Crespo to Ali Gerba, etc, etc .....not to knock those guys, but I'll take it in a heart beat....and be the happy as ballz on top of that

If that's what he expects to do hear I'm sure we'll let him know that we don't support that shit in the big smoke!

how does this loan work exactly?

can we afford to sign him eventually?

MLS loans need to include an option to buy, if I'm not mistaken. As for length....:noidea:

Forgot about that. They're all at the IMG academy. Must be like a mini Olympic village with DC Columbus Fire RSL KC and us and NRYB all there

What triggered that thought was Vitti's quote about talking to GBS at lunch.

Personally if he flops and doesn't get caught, it'll be confusing for me as I'll love all the free kicks especially around the box but I hate flopping
