from the blog:

FUN FACT: TFC goalkeeper just took a free kick and it flew way wide to the left... the ball flies toward the Fire bench and slamms into Blanco's back...he's just fine no worries!

Sounds pretty even despite the score line so far.

Guevera is there at training, right? Interesting note, he hasn't been in a game yet (all of our other midfielders, including trialists, have had minutes, most in both games). Does this mean something? Is Mo looking at unloading him, or is Carver just trying out all of the Guevera-less formations since he's going to be away for so many games this year.

1-0 Final.

Final

Fire 1-0

Considering the wretched preseason tune ups of last year, this wasn't too bad. If we had made any major fkups, the Fire blogger would have pointed them out.

He's also been 'here and there' with the Honduran team has he not? Maybe just being rested at the moment.

Guevara was at BMO. He's definately not in Florida right now considering they play a WCQ tommorrow.

as well, Dichio said in his blog yesterday some guys weren't playing because of minor injuries.

Ah, I thought he has joined them in Florida. Fair enough.

Seemed like a relatively even game based on the blog.
Who knows though.
I love that we had the blog though! Thanks again for the link!

He's off to play for Honduras so he's probably being kept out of these first 2 games at their request.

As for funny comments from the blog:

7': Toronto's Chad Barrett carried the ball up the middle and took a hard shot that sailed over the cross bar."

Business as usual.

Guevera did fly down with the team to florida last week...

Well, we can take consolation in the fact that it wasn't the defenses fault that there was a goal, haha, free kick!

I think Guevara flew directly to Colombia and arrived Monday.

Sure, but he also plays a WCQ tommorrow with Honduras. He probably stayed there max 1 or 2 days.

Ahh ok, gotcha. Looks like they were practicing in Colombia before going to Costa Rica. Either way, I think the point is there is no conspiracy to trade Guevara. He hasn't played because he's not there :)

A couple of things:

1. Anyone notice Dero was playing up front. Surprised to see that even though Guevara isn't there. Maybe Carver wanted to see Dero up front to see how he does.
2. We don't play till friday, that sucks. I guess we'll wait till friday to hear about the first Vitty apperance in red.

It would be nice if we could get an update on Charleston in the next couple weeks from our CBC friends on this board.
Need to do some AV/web rigging at Joe's again?

Is this a done deal? I remember Molinaro said CBC went out of their way and lost money last season when they covered it. What with all the budget slashing these days...

I hope they do though.

Whoops. Should have read to the end of the thread.
