What I remember is, when Amado's name surfaced as a TFC target (the first time, in May 2007), nobody on these boards could remember the guy from that game, even though it's had only been played a few weeks before, he'd been invisible.

But everyone got real excited when they saw his youtube package....

I remember that game, but not Amado.
I remember how our players huddled in about the first third of the field in front of our net, while the Chivas players continually sliced through our defense and took pot shots at Sutton. If the Chivas players had been more fit, it would have been a route.

That evening, the very first "fire Mo" postings went on our board.

Many people who didn't follow TFC until the first home match don't realize how much the team had already improved by then.

TFC actually played pretty well in the first half of that game. I remember thinking "wow, they seem so competitive! MLS is pretty good!!!!"

second half they bombed.

That was a great night. The E&C was so packed, but my buddies and I were smart enough to have arrived well before the hockey game. Good memories.

I had no idea we had played Amado our first game ever. Then again, I didn't know 90% of the players on TFC so it's not hard to believe I wasn't paying attention to Chivas.

My memories are more of the last 30 minutes. The next two matches had equally "memorable" endings.

I wouldn't say we played well in the first half, but we certainly could have scored a couple easily enough. The one Chivas player who I did remember after that night was Brad Guzan.

I know. I was in Boston for that terrible 0-5 loss.

Felt like 5 if you factor in the 12 hour down, 12 hour back - with enough stops on the way to make an 80-year old coffee-drinking man with a pushy blatter happy.

I was disapointed in Boyens, I had hoped he could develop.
