Babelfish...

At the moment, Ruiz is owner of their card after to absolutely be loose of the Galaxy of Los Angeles, yielded that it to the Toronto FC in 2008, undergoing of step the consequences to take above to a player in the decline of their race which she did not work, and, to have to most of pay their pay when yielding it almost of free to the Canadian equipment where simply she  did not please.

According to the same player, at the moment one is working in Los Angeles with a deprived physical trainer, to put itself again in form and to return to the level that I take it to a day to be champion with the Galaxy and the most valuable player of the end, the league and goleador of the same.

yes, she did not please us. the translation is correct.

i'm curious to see how much $$$ Ruiz gets. He was one of those graduated players cuz he made so much. But Dallas fans grew tired of him... LA fans never saw anything... same with TFC fans. I'd be shocked if he gets more than 250K now.

He's still a douche no matter where he plays. I saw this on MLSR as well, but TFC released him, so there can be no trade since he doesn't have a club to be traded from, no?

Did we 'officially' release him, or was it just that he went unprotected in the expansion draft?

Isn't Ruiz just the MLS's hot potato we're passing around?

He's done too much in the past to be past it, right?

seriously
im amazed that anyone wants him.
wonder what they are paying him?
Who wants to venture a bag of chips and a pat on the back

Wasn't his contract up? doesn't that mean we just didn't offer him a new contract but we still hold his MLS rights. Similar to how DC United got something from Colorado for Christian Gomez last year even though they had no intention of signing him.

not to steal the thread,

but is it possible to refrain from using terms like rape.

You'd be surprised at the odds of meeting someone that this has really happened to

Guys, the article mentions nothing about Ruiz being Traded to Chivas. He's basically going to try be on trial with the team. He wasn't called up to the national team recently so the article mentions his career is heading in a downward spiral and no MLS teams have picked him up yet. Apparantly he loves LA and therefore wants a shot at playing there, if he doesn't get an offer, he may have to eat his words and go back to Guatemala. It then goes on to talk about his career with Dallas, Galaxy and TFC.

Pretty sure TFC just let his contract expire, as it was up after this past season. Perhaps I am wrong though.

@ rocker: 250k?! No way. Ruiz hasn't produced significantly in a while now. My guess is, if Chivas takes him, it will be for sub-$200k until he proves that he is worth more.

After his shambolic tenures at the Galaxy and TFC, he is in no position to command remotely similar money to class league talents like Ricketts and Robbo.

I wont rip too much into Ruiz b/c everytime I do this, that athelete seems to come back and bite my team in the ass.

He is working with a Deprived Physical trainer...probably the only one that would work with him.. :)

Since TFC paid for Ruiz with supplemental draft picks, which ended up being worthless, I can't be upset that TFC didn't get anything out of Ruiz.

From Goff:

Reports from Paraguay say that 2002 MLS most valuable player Carlos Ruiz (82 goals in seven seasons) will sign with Olimpia. The 29-year-old Guatemalan forward was waived by Toronto after last season.

Ruiz To Join Olimpia Of Paraguay

Guatemalan forward Carlos Ruiz has agreed to a contract with Olimpia of Paraguay for six months.

The striker was released at the close of 2008 by Toronto FC, his third MLS team.
The Most Valuable Player of 2002, Ruiz won the Major League Soccer championship the same year with the Los Angeles Galaxy (http://sports.yahoo.com/mls/teams/los/;_ylt=AhiJkxvplttb6DGa5FqyVx0XRJ54). He scored a golden-goal in overtime of the final.

Ruiz was traded to FC Dallas in 2005, but returned to the Galaxy for the 2008 season.
Goal.com confirmed the news with a source close to Ruiz who has knowledge of the situation

I agree with these statements. It is a word that is being bandied around much too flippantly!
