ROME — David Beckham scored from a free kick with England coach Fabio Capello looking on but Diego Milito tied the game three minutes from the end and AC Milan settled for a 1-1 draw with Genoa on Wednesday.

Nice strike by Beckham from the dead ball. Too bad Milan are garbage and couldn't add to it or keep Genoa off the score sheet.

I really hope Beckham gets the transfer to Milan and the Rossoneri get overtaken by Roma and Fiorentina/Genoa, and miss out on Champions league again. This would surely call for a fire sale all their aging stars and Becks would be let go on a free transfer.

** Reports are also circulating that Becks got injured in the match, not sure the degree**

Becks should stay in Milan.

that's really where he belongs. He is being wasted in MLS. They've sold all their shirts. let him go back and be a player.

^ Perhaps, but look at how that would make the league look in the eyes of the world.

I think it will confirm what everybody in the football world is already thinking.
