I was curious to see how long Adidas had a grip on the MLS for with regards to jersey rights. The answer... a long time.
No chance of seeing Nike or Puma jerseys till the 2015 season.

I thought you were talking about how long BMO has their shirt sponsorship for...heh.

Besides BMO, can anyone forsee any other company that would do a shirt sponsorship on our shirts?

Haha...I wouldn't mind seeing Kappa sponser our jersey. I am a pretty big fan of last years Roma Black, white and marron jersies. Maybe in 2015, but I doubt it.

I like addidas, but i wish the league wasn't always "all for one" and that teams could go with whatever company they wanted.

Stryker

Yeah, thats another problem with the whole single entity structure.
The league was losing huge money at the time and probley needed a cash infusion badly when they signed the deal.

I dont like Kappa jerseys on other teams that are not Italian teams, it just looks ackward. As far as Adidas, they make horrible jerseys, I hate seeing the 3 stripes on every single jersey made by Adidas its so ugly on some teams. I think Liverpool has the best Adidas jerseys.

I would love to see a return of this someday:

i think BMO made a 5 year contract on TFC jerseys. So i guess no chance of a new sponsor till 2012 and addidas till 2015.

why does kappa look awkward on teams that aren't italian? it's not like the kappa logo has an italian flag.
the only problem i have with kappa jerseys is that they sometimes put huge kappa logos on the shoulder, that looks awkward even on an Italain jersey.

Puma, Nike, Kappa, Umbro and Canterburry are jersey manufacturers i hope to see in the future over here.

English clubs avoid Kappa because their tight fits hurt kit sales. Anybody who enjoys a good lager and a fry up can't fit into them.

Puma Puma Puma!!!!
Best in the world!

I would do unforgivable things to nice, old ladies to have Puma supply our jerseys.

Considering the deal was signed before Toronto was in the league and alot of people didn't even follow MLS at the time I thought it was worth mentioning.
Stop your bitching.

I prefer Adidas.
Likewise... They make the best boots as well. ;)

I think Lotto's shirts are pretty good, the only problem is they stick their logo all over it.

Case in point (Udinese):

They're the kit sponsor as well, which is a bit tacky, but meh.

Thats a perfect example of how Adidas can ruin things with their 3 stripes on everything. Think of how much better it look without them.

You would think they could find a new way to use the 3 stripes design.
Maybe just use a slightly bigger version of the 3 short stripes that are above their name and stick them on the end of the sleeve like a badge or something.
Anyway... life goes on...

I always like the Germany kits, probably the best kits adidas make. But yeah, they need to get a bit more creative with how they use the three lines.
