Toronto FC announced Friday that defender Nana Attakora-Gyan, and defender/midfielder Gabe Gala have been named to the 18 man training camp roster by Canadian head coach Tony Fonseca.

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. (MLSE) announced Friday that it has entered an agreement to purchase Insight Sports Ltd's ownership in GolTV Canada. The purchase, made by one of MLSE's affiliate companies, will see Canada's premier sports and entertainment organization acquire an 80.1 per cent stake in the 24-hour soccer network. The transaction will require CRTC approval.

TFC coach excited by De Rosario's arrival
Toronto FC coach John Carver described Thursday's introduction of Dwayne De Rosario as his "biggest day at the club so far". De Rosario signed a four year contract and Carver can't wait to start working with the four-time All-Star on the training pitch.

GolTV Canada will help promote TFC and MLS, `bullish' Anselmi says of deal pegged at $12M
A day after signing a star Canadian player, the owners of Toronto FC have bought themselves a television network to promote the game.
Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment announced yesterday it's buying an 80.1 per cent share of GolTV Canada, the 24-hour soccer channel, from Insight Sports Ltd.
"We're obviously bullish on soccer," Tom Anselmi, executive vice-president and chief operating officer of MLSE said in an interview.
