Just randomly wondering, what were the top 3 topics/posts that made you go "WOW!" or something of that sort???

For me in no specific order:

DeRo signing

Big Bruva teasing the shit outta us about the Ricketts signing

Anything by Barbarez

No? It was very early and Exiled Red kept making posts about how it made sense if Fowler were to come to TFC. All the scouse got excited, so I took a picture of the place across the street from my work and made a thread about Fowler in Canada or something.

The most hate-filled thread was the one after Cunningham missed from 2 feet out against Montreal. Pages and pages of it.

That moment made sure that Cunty would be railroaded out of here, tarred and feathered. If you remember, even JC tore a strip off him by saying something like: "I don't know how he's managed to get 99 goals" and constantly repeating that we needed a striker.

The funniest threads for me were the Collin Samuel pie threads and the Peter Crouch picture where he's all contorted and photoshopped into other situations.

'The Thread' was an explosive moment when the group needed to determine what the hell a supporters group was and was not about. It really can't be explained well in a summary. It might have just been the straw that broke the camels back.

Anyway at the time some people were puting heroic efforts into certain things, the group just needed to decide if those things were what this supporters group was really about.

For me it was a definate time when I realised that some members of other supporters groups were a hell of a lot more knowledgable than I gave them credit for. A great time to right the ship and change course and a sad time to lose some members out to sea. The old members are dead, Long live the new members!

or maybe I was drunk :)

"The Thread" isn't even close. In fact, the only time I even think about it is when people bring it up here.

Most memorable is a toss up between the original Jersey design thread on toront-fc.com, the Famous in Utah thread or my personal favorite - the LA Galaxy vs TFC Beckham/Landycakes photoshop thread.

Thankfully, the most memorable moments of the group have been in person and not on a internet messageboard.

you know when they build a condo tower, they start by digging up the group to make the sub basement? Well in doing that, it makes a huge pile of dirt, usually about 30 of 40 feet up in the air. Well there's one of those near East Liberty street, and Kevin Clark climbed it, and made a fort up there. He used rocks to decorate the sides, and just hung out there all day, smoking crack and yelling at people who walked by. It was a very classic moment, even though it's more like Liberty Village over there.

As for memberable photos, I wish I had a camera on me this one time but didn't.

It was after the Colorado game(i think) and I was walking back to my car which was parked in the East Parking lot for the tailgate.

This was the game that they did the Budgie tribute. We held up the banner, and then hung the banner behind the net. At the end of the game we decided to leave the banner at the stadium. (there wasn't a better place for it)

On my walk back to my car, I walked up to the stadium to see if it was still there. IT WAS! They had taken everything down including banners and advertising, but they decided to leave BUDGIE up. Wish I had a camera that night, would have made for a memorable picture.

yeah on one or two of the corners the concrete terracing is still there.

you must've been in the shed. a lot of the terraces in scotland were retrofitted with wodden benches as a cheap way to make the stadiums all-seater.

i went to a dundee (not united) game at dens park with my dad and that was the case, numbers were painted on the seats and each "seat" was separated by a white line.
and of course dundee lost.... hahaha

I remember that's one of the first times i remember mr. Paul posting on the board.
For the record, I would only spill the beans if you asked, PM only.

Actually, john would be the first to cast doubt on a wikipedia source.

Show me one poster on this board, with the depth of knowledge and experience, and the ability to communicate it all, that John had, and I'll let you say what you like about BBTB after that.

Sorry, I should elaborate on that.

He said many times himself that most of the information he posted was to be found with a little bit of research and reading on the internet. Not just wikipedia, but other sources as well.

He definitely has a wide depth of knowledge about the game, no question! But combine that with good research and you get what BBTB brought.

I remember the heated debates about the BMO "300" commericals and how some RPB's were extremely angry with TFC/BMO for improperly portraying the supporters of the club. They though it was a mockery of the work that has been done to build up the profiles of the supporters groups. >>>Concede Defeat and Go Home!>>>>

thanks for the love :)

I liked the commercial, it was fun to be glamourised hollywood style, and a huge compliment to everything TFC supporters had done to generate atmosphere at BMO.
