I actually watched an episode of McCown's show the other week and this was brought up. They ruled out TFC because they felt that the support was there but not the history to be considered a franchise with a culture of losing. Of course they had their little soccer diggs but overall that was what I walked away with. I can't say that it upset me at all.

Toronto FC have officially announced that they will introduce new signing Dwayne De Rosario at a media conference on Thursday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. EST - the press conference will available on the teams website.
De Rosario is joining Toronto FC from Houston Dynamo is one of the biggest moves of off season. Speculation was growing that De Rosario and Toronto FC were having contract negotiation problems as the player had not been unveiled.
"Dwayne is a player we've admired for quite some time. When the chance came to work with Houston to get this deal, we were obviously very happy," TFC director of soccer Mo Johnston said in a team-released statement. "He's a wonderful talent and I hope all of our supporters are as excited as we are that Dwayne is now a member of Toronto FC."

The league is close to finalizing the regular season schedule and hopes to unveil it by the end of next week. Teams have received preliminary schedules and are making alterations. The process of determining the site of MLS Cup is also in the late stages. The Insider reported last week that Seattle is among the finalists.

Honduras called up the Kansas City Wizards' Roger Espinoza for the first time. Espinoza was born in Honduras and moved to Denver as a teenager. Other MLS players in the Catrachos' squad are D.C. United's Ivan Guerrero, New England's Mauricio Castro and Toronto FC's Amado Guevara.

It'll be interesting to see just how effective Darren Huckerby will be next season. Even when O'Brien doesn't score goals, he offers intangibles to a club - his playmaking ability, a link to the final third of the pitch, etc. Ronny O didn't score any goals for us, but he was an invaluable cog in our offence in our inaugural season. I wonder if San Jose has the depth to let a player of Ronny's ability slip away.
