Toronto FC Jersey Debate

Alright folks !

I own the original "TORONTO FC" jersey from the entry year.
I got the LS toronto fc with the words "bmo" written on it from last year off the adidas merch sale last week!

Now he's the inquiry

Do I presently get DeRo TORONTO's hometown hero , Danny Dichio a Toronto FC legend , Jimmy B captain canuck of our team on the back ?

I have thought long and hard about DeRo but would adding a player to a jersey from a year he wasnt playing there ( adding him to my 08 jersey) ..

What are your thoughts about this ?

If you are a stickler for details then I would say don't put DeRo on last years jersey.
But if you don't really care about such things then get whomever.

I've never put a players name on a jersey before,
but if I did choose to do so for my TFC jersey then I would probably get Dichio.
Good chance he will never play for another team.
He scored the historic first goal (not to mention that awesome year ending goal)
He was also the first Toronto player to get a red card...
And he will probably still be with the team after he stops playing.

Dichio is a legend, from that first goal in TFC's history , to the superb goal vs the Revolution to end the season , Dichio has been super !
He's a legend, and will be in another role for TFC after his playing days are done.

I think Dichio would be a fine choice not only for his play but for the way he represents Toronto FC , and probably the first Toronto FC player we throw the words " Legend , and Hero " too !

I've seen it being mentioned here on the forums numerous times

Centre Sports will do the number and lettering , and can do it within a certain time frame (3 hrs ? ) and I remember seeing a price such as 35 dollars ?

Can anyone correct me if they the deal with Centre Sports ?

I'd say don't ever put a name on your original jersey.
Get Brennen on the long sleeve. I'd say Dichio but I don't think hes ever worn the long sleeve in a game.

I left the first year jersey blank and probably always will. I have a L/S from last year also bought at the last home game when they were on sale and put Dichio on the back. You can't go wrong with a legend.
