Argos buffaloed by ticket sales

BLA,BLA,BLA,BLA AND THAN THIS:

The Argos also announced they are closing off the 500 level of the Rogers Centre this season, curtailing football capacity to 31,074. That means a higher average ticket price, but a more intimate setting, which has been a huge plus for their soccer rivals, Toronto FC, at the 20,100-seat BMO Field.

BLA,BLA,BLA,BLA AND THAN

Watters insisted the team is staying at Rogers Centre, despite speculation they one day will return to their CNE roots at an enlarged BMO facility.

BLA,BLA,BLA,BLA AND

He admitted TFC has emerged as a strong rival for the entertainment dollar, but stressed the two clubs are after different fan bases. "They have a rowdier crowd, a bit more drinking and a larger immigrant population," Clemons said. "But in a city this size, there is room for both.

http://www.redpatchboys.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=866 sort of covered here. And what an insult 'a bit more drinking' more like a niagara falls worth of more drinking :)

LMAO.... I love all the BLA BLA BLAs....

"The lure of good field position for the Buffalo Bills at Rogers Centre did little to help the Toronto Argonauts' own season-ticket drive."

^^ No surprise really,.. especially since the Buffalo Bills tickets are ridiculously overpriced.

Bit more drinking. Obviously can't see the north end stands. Lushes galore. And they decided to close the 500's this year. Cause it worked so well for atmo in the past...They gotta find a new home to distance themselves from the cavernous dome....

I've been to a lot of Argos games, they booze just as much. There are people sneeking in liquor all the time, but fuck that scene..

It was news that Rock fans out drink Leafs fans at he ACC and that's with a smaller cowd, but Reds supporters bring it up about 1,000 notches... The weather has been shit lately, but when the sun is out the beer guy only makes it about 1/3 up the aisle to my side of the section before he has to run back for more cans...and there's draught and can sales right outside the exit!
