I think the person in question stopped putting them up, as per "special request".

We were contacted by TFC & respectfully asked to stop hosting the links.

werd thanks
i wonder why they are against it unless they plan on allowing them to be shown on their website or contractual obligations

It's copyright MLS. Toronto FC is part of MLS. And thus, is obligated to act at the MLS' behest, and the MLS does not wish such torrents to be passed around due to their own MLS TV online viewing mechanism and the possibility of DVD releases down the road.

'Nuff said.

fbtz.com

I'm sure someone will upload the games there. Megaupload and Rapdishare links are much faster than torrents anyway.

MLS lawyers are the kings of buzzkill, its always amazing that lawyers and marketing are often on the opposite end of the spectrum when it comes to PR.
Thanks boys, much appreciated

Dont find MLS that bad really about their video rights - its the only footy league you'll find on youtube.

I'm sure there are more leagues than not that you can find on Youtube no problem. I've never seen a Hajduk video taken down on YouTube.

Guys, you're missing the point.

As one of the largest visible supporter/fan groups associated with TFC, when the links are posted here on our board, and the team makes no more to suggest their removal, it appears to be implicit permission.

The team cannot be in that situation legally due to their association with the MLS.

Yes, torrents will get posted. Just please do not advertise links to them anywhere on this board where TFC or MLS can see them.

They were there... until their removal was requested.

I'd pay for a full set of games on DVD. As long as they were not too stupid in price.
