Toronto FC confirms Mexican, Argentine friendlies

Toronto FC finalized the rest of its summer plans today when in confirmed the Mexican club Pachuca and Argentine power Independiente will both visit BMO Field for friendlies in July.
Pachuca finished third in Mexico's top league this year, ending their season with a 2-1 win over San Luis two weeks ago.
They will visit BMO Field July 5, while the Independiente game is scheduled for July 15. Three games from the end of Argentina's spring season, Independiente currently ranks fifth out of 20 teams.

Stadium dispute could bounce Becks back to Toronto

A dispute over a stadium rental agreement in Trinidad could pave the way to LA Galaxy star David Beckham making his first on-field appearance at BMO Field on May 31 after all.
The England midfielder was to represent his country in a June 1 exhibition match in Port-of-Spain against Trinidad and was subsequently ruled out of his MLS team's only Toronto appearance this season.

Roster changes test depth

TORONTO — Toronto FC's depth is about to be tested.
Not only is the team's Major League Soccer schedule becoming busier, there are international call-ups coming, as well.
And then there are the Canada Cup matches against the United Soccer Leagues' Montreal Impact and Vancouver Whitecaps that will begin on Tuesday with a match in Montreal.
And did we mention the exhibition games? Toronto FC said yesterday it will play host to Pachuca of Mexico and Independiente of Argentina on July 5 and July 15, respectively, at BMO Field.

Canada adds pair to roster for friendlies
By THE CANADIAN PRESS

OTTAWA -- Dwayne De Rosario, the two-time Canadian Soccer Association player of the year, and Julian de Guzman, the most valuable player at the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup, were named to the roster yesterday for Canada's international friendlies against Brazil and Panama.
Canada will play Brazil May 31 in Seattle then face Panama June 4 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The matches are intended as tune ups for Canada's second stage qualifying games for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Watters insisted the team is staying at Rogers Centre, despite speculation they one day will return to their CNE roots at an enlarged BMO facility.
