France wins 2-1 , with goals off a free kick in the 90th and a pk in the 93rd.

a real great game, and was one of the better games played in portugal during the 04 euros

I avoid the checking the results when I am watching, even though I am usually on the computer as well, makes it fun. Alas, today I wasn't going to watch it anyway. Too bad they could stretch it out a bit longer, 60 mins would be perfect for highlights, but commercials break it up unfortunately.

For anyone that wants to re-live the match without commercials

Only 6 mins long.

the basketball game went 30 mins too long, they might join the soccer in progress, show it at 1 instead of poker, or skip it all together.

Had England not lost, they could have faced Greece in the first round instead, perhaps the tournament would have yielded a different result.

wow. musta been an unreal experience.

Tell me about it.

A few things stuck out for me as a neutral.

1) The fact that I was offered 2000 pounds by an English supporter for my pair of tickets that cost me 55 Euros each. I would have made a handsome profit on my trip. But I couldn't do it I went to Euro 2004 to experience it and I figure this would be a classic matchup.

2) Groups of English and French supporters chanting back and forth in the shopping mall located across the street from the stadium.

3) But the thing I will take away from that game was the state of shock that was experienced by the English supporters after the game turned on it's head in the end. Think about it, the sold out stadium was about 3/4 full of English supporters and at the end of the game you could hear a pin drop.

I'm glad I didn't sell the tickets.

And I was happy to see Becks miss the penalty.
