haha

Well there is a reason I picked that tune...here are the lyrics:

Too Much for them...Too Much for Lies
Too Much for The Eyes...Tell them a see Lord God tell them why...
Too Much Boy...I think you know you're too much boy...
Too Much for them...Too Much for Lies
Too Much for The Eyes...Tell them a see Lord God tell them why...
Too Much Boy...I think you know you're too much boy...
Tell them already you have to tell them again...
Tell them already you have to tell them again...
We are All-Stars....

That and Snow killed that...

All good. But man, I'm from an era where Snow is a joke. (I was a secret fan musically) But he's kind of wanker IMHO.

Great Vid Flush.

woooah there... Yeah Snow was laughed at but mainly due to his skin colour. unfortunately.

This man was one of the first from Toronto to go down to yard as a white man get respect in JA and do a big tune with Buju, Bennie, Louis Culture, and Terror Fabolous...

Another Snow thread haha!

Snow's the most underrated artist I've ever heard. I could go on for days, but the fact he's still making crazy music 16 years after his record breaking Informer speaks for itself. Can even guys like Sean Paul touch Snow's ability with the ad lib? Not a chance. He'd be a reggae legend if he wasn't a white Canadian.

So Flush, after next season you making a vid to this track?

Snow's from Allenbury Gardens, Don Mills and Sheppard. One of the 4 corners.

check the person who posted the 'parkdale rules' comment. He's got some great videos ;)

Dero is from Scarborough, but that post-goal dance he does is from Malvern. He used to do it on his highschool team, and he still does it in the big league. He's actually called the goal celebration the "Malvern Shuffle" in a few interviews.

He IS a reggae legend to people in the know. Darren is incredibly talented.

yeah, that's his first name. I've worked with him and it's hard calling him 'Snow' after you've met him. he's a pretty humble guy in real life, despite the bravado of being a reggae singer.

the man respects his roots, and I respect him for that.

oh, is anyone else super stoked today?

I was in a bar with King Dave last night, and this dude was wearing a TFC scarf. I asked him "so... you hear about DeRo?" and he hadn't. I told him he signed with TFC and guy just couldn't believe me. He got his buddy to check the web on his blackberry, and then looked like he was going to cry. Fucking great news!!!

Lets get one thing straight here.

MO DID NOT MAKE THIS HAPPEN.

MO DID NOT DO SHIT TO BRING DERO HERE.

But he was shrewd in only letting a lil $ and Julius go. so

half props.

FULL PROPS for:

Securing CR and DD!

Don't be ridiculous. Even if DeRo wanted to come here, Mo needed to get the dealing with the F.O. done.

Names in the Game
By The Associated Press
TORONTO (AP) -- Toronto FC added Dwayne De Rosario on Friday, acquiring the all-star midfielder from the Houston Dynamo in exchange for young defender Julius James and cash.
De Rosario is a three-time all-star and four-time MLS Cup winner with Houston and the San Jose Earthquakes. The 30-year-old Canadian international playmaker has 51 goals and 42 assists in his eight MLS seasons.
"I'd asked Houston my first year, second year, all the way through,'' said Mo Johnston, Toronto's director of soccer. "I tried again and then we finally broke through.''
The Dynamo, needing salary cap room, finally relented. De Rosario was Houston's highest-paid player last season at $325,000. James made just $44,750.

From Gerry Dobson's blog:

For sure, the Dwayne De Rosario to Toronto rumours had been flying around for months, but there was nothing out of the ordinary in recent days to suggest this trade was imminent. And here's why.

It only came together on Friday morning. Both TFC boss Mo Johnston and Houston coach Dominic Kinnear are scouting at the NCAA Final Four in Dallas. One thing led to another and before long, the deal was done.

To me right now Mo is short for MOSES... he just parted the Red Sea with this trade.

Give the man some credit when due.

Even if Mo would have given away one of our first rounders, everyone would still be calling this a good trade. That's why this is an amazing trade! And don't fool yourself...If the money wasn't available, De Ro would not be coming here at this point in his career.

Houston was in a weak position and Mo was ready and played it perfectly.
