Clarke, Kindel and Valente. I haven't watched the Whitecaps enough to know their strengths or weaknesses, but if anyone is familiar with them, any chance of seeing them pop up at TFC next season and doing any better than Braz and Reda?

I don't know about Kindel and Valente, but Jeff Clarke is basically a career USL player. At the right price he may be a useful bench player, but that's about it.

Haha. I forgot to mention that they were released due to "philosophical" differences. Also the fact that they needed to make room for the huge influx of residence players that are making the jump next year.

All three of them played in the championship game apparently. They also played in the majority of the Whitecaps games, might be a good idea to at least invite them to camp.

Are you saying this because they were cut from the Whitecaps, or you do not think that there are any players from the Vancouver and Montreal that could improve out team?

Going purely on the wikis, I would say:

Jeff Clarke: Naah...
Alfredo Valente: Could be useful as a bench player but that's not really the way to build a team: it's better to bring in players that will relegate your current players to the bench, not fill your bench behind your starters.
Steve Kindel: I think we're covered at left back with Brennan and Dunivant.

was Jeff Clarke the guy that dove over Jimmy to get the penalty on Canada day?

Vancouver was failing to generate much on attack until the 36th minute. During a corner kick from midfielder Justin Moose, Brennan was called for a foul for having his arms around Blue-and-White captain Jeff Clarke. In a referee's call that angered the Reds and the BMO Field fans, the Whitecaps were awarded a penalty kick, which was converted by Nash to give his club its first goal of the championship.
