We won't as there is only one Thursday game. If Seattle vs. RBNY on the 19th of March is true, then we'll likely have a Saturday game, or perhaps a Sunday game.

MLS dropped the ball on this one. What a mistake picking KC as our "opener" of the season. They would have been better off selecting another Eastern team - NE, NYRB, DC. I really don't think that we'll be able to get the numbers behind a road trip to KC that we would get to another team that's closer, not to mention that KC has the smallest stadium in the league.

its been said by others on this thread but I really think that the liklihood of getting a large block of tickets to the season opener in KC is slim. The stadium is tiny. The Wizard fans should be able to sell out their opener when they only need to buy up 10K. They won't want to get shown up by TFC travelling support, the way Crew fans did last year.

i don't want to be a downer but it just seems logical to me that if there is going to be an official trip, it should be Columbus again.

If we can get about 200 people, why not charter a plane? I understand flying's not as much fun as driving there because we're all getting there on our own, but if we can get a big group all together, that would be awesome.

Does anyone know anything about charters?

People looked into it last year - I don't remember the details exactly, but it seemed expensive and never happened...

Glad Chicago wasn't the opener Chicago is a summer city.

exactly. Chicago is beautiful in the summer.

I think we really need to put on a BIG show for our home opener. We need to show Seattle how it's done, and you know they'll be bringing a lot of people.

Will they be standing outside the stadium? Because I doubt TFC will open up more than the 150 they provide for visiting support.

I agree!

But their Deep Dish Pizza is shit and really over-rated...;)

I almost passed out and couldn't make the bus to the stadium after eating 2 slices of that fat shit!

No they won't...it's too far away. They'll have less than 100 max. Out west the teams are too spread apart for real travelling support. They'll have great numbers at home and have a good atmosphere but you'll only see a few token diehards actually make the trek to away matches. Even SJ and LA are a very big hike.

Is it 150? I always thought it was 100. Either way, if they come in a large group, they'll need to yell from outside BMO.

for Columbus? It's not. Most of NEE did a day trip to Columbus last season. Infact we had some volunteers that fully drove there and back, without switching drivers. It's really do-able.

I know alot of people did it last year.

we stayed over night and that made the trip. Going clubbing in columbus was great.

hey king dave u remember getting chased around the CHEESE MOTEL

Trust me there are still much cheaper options out of Buffalo. I'm hearing through a reliable source, that the next couple months there will be some SERIOUS seat sales to try and entice people into travelling.

Hook me up - I love being enticed... :)
