in todays Columbus Dispatch newspaper they has this poll:

which do you think is a bigger deal to central Ohioans?

OSU 42 Michigan 7 or Crew 3 NYRB1

currently OSU leads 54% to 46% a hell of a lot closer then i would
have thought considering Ohios love of the pointy game....

No , not likely but if they could keep that 46% interest then im sure the Crew owners would be happy.

Silly poll...it's probably being skewed by Crew fans much like how TFC fans skew online polls.

The Crew doesn't even come close to touching OSU's immense popularity in the state, let alone in the University town of Columbus.

Yeah I'm sure the Nordeck are cramming the poll. The reality is this title might boost their season ticket base from 50 to 57 next season.

Fun poll. I doubt many Buckeyes felt the need to prove their dominance in a poll, though.

I love the affinity to "pure" sport of college athletes. Oh, it doesn't hurt that it's cheaper to get in the stadium.

I dunno, I guess for the same reason I've had an affinity towards the Oklahoma Sooners even though I never visited their stadium until this year, or the affinity I feel for Leeds United even though I've yet to visit Leeds?

Not much cheaper, if at all. The cheapest tickets you could get on StubHub for Ohio St.-Michigan basically since they were released back in the summer were more than $100. I don't know what face value would have been. It costs just as much, if not more, to go to a college football game at the larger programs as it does to go to an NFL game...
