What ^she^ said...although I'm not sure you even have to be sappy to appreciate his sentiment for the team and it's supporters.

Well, without all the emotional bit....what about rationale thought. Carver wouldn't be leaving to be the head coach. He's already been an assistant to Sir Bobby. Why would he go to the same job he had 10 years ago for Alan Shearer when he can be the head coach of up and coming club.

If he wants to go back sometime, then he'll have years of top flight head coaching experience. Arsene Wenger went to Japan to ply his trade early in his career. The guy is getting a world of experience right now.

Where's Mark Kelly to call Carver a "recent hockey convert" for saying that he's trying to learn all the MLS rules and regulations?

That's what he called me for saying the same thing!

PS - Carver rules.

Carver is great. I hope he sticks around for more than another season, but I suspect that is wishful.

Good interview. I was expecting the sort of half-answer Carver gave us about Shearer at Newcastle. Let's be realistic here - if he already was tapped to come back to St. James Park or is expecting that sort of news, he's in no position to make any statement about that.

Most importantly, he keeps chipping away at the officiating of the league and thats always a good thing, in my opinion. :D

what I want to know is:
are those "felt" or "sewn-on" TFC patches on the sofa's throw pillows?

Who knows... The "In Carver We Trust" banners might have actually played a part in him deciding to stay.

I talked to Carver today in Oakville, he said he's flying out Monday to Newcastle... I told him to please come back cuz the team's lost without him. He just laughed though, so you gotta wonder...
