Is this a good trend for the MLS?

Donovan, 26, who has made over a century of caps for his country, has been training with Bayern for the last week and a half and has impressed Bayern coach Juergen Klinsmann.

"The goal will be to see if we can get him long term, at least until the end of the season," Klinsmann told the Bayern's website.

This week Klinsmann, who was a technical advisor at Galaxy before he took over as Bayern coach on July 1, paid tribute to the midfielder's ability, saying: "Landon is a player who bring all sorts of qualities, he has developed into one of the top players in North America and Mexico."

Getting Donovan out of the league? I'd say that's a fine trend.

If he goes, good for him. The league does not need him like before. For this league to grow a bigger name, some players need to go abroad and prove themselves, and not just import old players (in the form of DPs). However, I highly doubt this landycakes character can hold down a starting line up position at Bayern or even a first sub...

If they use him as a midfielder, would he play ahead of Franck Ribéry, Hamit Altıntop, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Tim Borowski, Zé Roberto, or Mark van Bommel? I don't think so. If they use him as a striker, would he play ahead of Luca Toni, Miroslav Klose, Lukas Podolski? Highly unlikely. I can see him being a 4th striker for Bayern (in line behind Podolski), but Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose will never be benched for landycakes, unless they're dead!!

Landycakes still wouldn't get a game, and Bayern still wouldn't pay 10m for him

Tut knows his Bundesliga! I hate to like this guy. He's half Canadian, so that's the part I like. Unfortunately the other half of him is asshole enough to hate all of him. Makes sense? Boy's got talent for MLS and maybe CC Championship in England. Bayern? I don't think so.

It would be a loan deal, the most they would have to do is pay a portion of his wages, and if the Galaxy are really pms'ing over losing the guy for their early matches, pay a loan fee. I don't think they'd take him on full-time.

I suppose he'd be a decent player to have coming off the bench for unimportant matches when they're resting their better players...

Out of all the teams in Europe, he's loaned out to the one that has a gross excess at the forward position. Nice...

More importantly, his wife is seriously hot. Why would she marry a short little catcher like Landycakes?

The hot wife has to be some sort of cover up for what Landycakes is all about.... ;)

That last pic is my favourite.

"You are in my area."
"PLease, no. It was an accident"
