Maybe Amoebi?

And so the streak now stands at six. But there's no doubt the Reds are piling up the points while not playing their best football. As the head coach says, that's the sign of a good team. But he's also the first to point out that the hunt is still on for scoring help.

In fact, John Carver says Mo Johnston has actually ramped up that search to a new level.

That's where Shola Ameobi enters the picture. The former under-21 England international is now 26 and would no doubt command designated player money. Surely, he's a long shot. But then again that's what they said about David Beckham.

By all accounts Ameobi loves everything North American, from the culture to the sports. John Carver should know. Both Carver and strength and conditioning coach Paul Winsper have known him for years from their days at Newcastle. Does he love the North American lifestyle enough that they can convince him to make the jump?

Maybe, maybe not.

gotta the love the closing paragraph:

Speaking of injuries. Notice how Toronto doesn't have any this year? And they're playing on Field turf. Winsper says field turf doesn't cause injury. Bad training methods do. He may have a point.
