He thanks RPB for the support and for the Man of the Year Award as well he says:

Since arriving back in the uk, I've been greeted with nothing but rain. It really has been miserable weather and makes me very happy that I will be going back to Canada next year.

Of course, later in his piece he says....

"We then agreed we'll see each other in March for the World Cup qualifiers. I then found it funny to read that I had been left out of the squad, but that shows that what people write can be so far from the truth, and they don't even check first."

This is a great honour for me, and I'm just disappointed that I will not be able to be at their party as I'm now back in the UK with my family.

Looks like I know who I'm getting on the back of my jersey for next season then!

Oh and am I the only one who was really excited to read that this is his first break in 2 years? I take that as meaning we've never seen a fully rested and ready Robbo. He could be even better in 09!

F&*^ you Red Bulls!!!!

Good point. I know last year his loan to Norwich City was nixed by a leg injury he suffered playing for Wales. I think the move was more to help the Canaries, who were struggling big time, than it was for Robbo's own benefit.

But yeah, he should kick up his feet, maybe do a little radio/TV work, and enjoy his off season!

Just spend time with the Family. That's all he really needs.
Then come back to Toronto happy, rested and ready to win.

I think this should be the off-season motto for all the players and supporters!!!

And to hearby dispel any lingering rumours about Robbo leaving:

I have ALWAYS been a proponent of Mr. Robinson, I'm glad to see he is returning... So much for the "venerable" postman...

Great news, but I was under the impression that his family was living with him now in Port Credit. He has mentioned before how he and his family enjoy the privacy here...
