Barrett and Edwards selected for squad

Toronto FC announced Tuesday that forward Chad Barrett and goalkeeper Brian Edwards have been invited to a five day camp by U.S. Men's National Team head coach Bob Bradley. Toronto FC sends two players to U.S. training camp

With the season now over, at least these call-ups won't be giving Toronto FC head coach John Carver any headaches.
TFC forward Chad Barrett and goalkeeper Brian Edwards are headed to Denver this week to join the U.S. men's national team as coach Bob Bradley prepares his squad for its final match in the semi-final round of FIFA 2010 World Cup qualifying. The U.S. faces Guatemala on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado.

The Good: TFC is producing quality that can make national teams

The Bad: We would lose more players to international duty (No GK)

The Fabulous: (OFFICE ALERT!) http://www.page3.com/index2.shtml#main-image

Morning D! Good to see Barrett and Edwards getting the call up. Good on them. Let's hope they don't make the team for the sake of our sanity. lol. I LIKE BUBBLES!!

Considering what we went through with callups, that news doesn't make me thrilled.

Now the SSG, on the other hand... :yum: :hump:

Thanks D! The prospect of more players playing for their national team doesn't sit well with me (and probably even less with Mo and JC). On the brighter side, it would be a feather in the cap of TFC to have the keepers for two national teams in their ranks.

So between Wynne, Barrett and Edwards, we're more team USA than team Canada? Anybody else think there's something severely wrong with that?

^^ As long as they put the ball in the net and keep it out of ours, nope.

I'd rather look at it as our players want to play in bigger leagues.

The Good: TFC did NOT finish last, and might make playoffs in year 3.

The Bad: MLS schedule does not look like it will change to Accomodate the International break

The Ugly: Worodl cup Qualifying continues without our Canadian Boys

The Faboo: Pats dedication to bringingus PROPER Sunshine Action - THANKS PAT!

Wow sunshine tops page 3 girl for the first time ever ;)

As for more US callups than Canadian callups - I'm more worried that we have more US callups than any other US-based MLS team (not a fact, I'm just going from memory). This is gonna kill us if it holds...
