It's a story from last year but that I just came across.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-472136/Vinnie-Jones-offered-trial-LA-Galaxy-charity-match.html

How desperate are they to offer a 42-year old a trial? No disrespect to Vinnie Jones (I've never seen him play, I only know him as an actor - and a great one at that) but this story just makes LA a bigger joke than it already is.

Fuckin' MLS is becoming such a joke. I'm tired of this kind of shit.

I really have my doubts about the future of this league, at first I was an optimist but now...

I suspected someone may have posted it simply some time ago because it's not breaking news. I took a shot anyway: I found it interesting. :D

Great player on Wimbeldon in what the 70s?

He played for some decent teams...Wimbledon, Sheff Utd, Leeds, Chelsea.....
Complete wanker to play against, by the looks of it. He would tear the MLS a new asshole....by actually tearing the MLS a new asshole. Players would die going against him.

After participating in a charity football match alongside fellow British Hollywood (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hollywood) film actor Jason Statham (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Statham), Jones was approached by a Los Angeles Galaxy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles_Galaxy) scout and asked whether he would go for a trial at the club. Jones laughed off the offer by saying "You're 15 years too late".

Im gunna say something none of you have the balls to:

Vinnie Jones in his current state (old, retired footballer focused on acting) IS BETTER THAN Marco Velez (the Velez we knew the 2nd half of the season...but wished we didnt)

Yes, some of you guys ARE right...
MLS is pathetic,
THeres no way Marco Velez ever start for an MLS side

EDIT: i'd also like to point out how an "old-man" named Titus stepped in for us that game AND WAS THE BEST DEFENDER ON OUR TEAM THAT GAME... that my friends is a fact

Just need to look at my avatar to see how he'd deal with people like Schelotto and other diving wankers! He'd help them to their feet all right...

A very good player for Leeds in the season we were promoted back to the old First Division (89-90 I believe).

I will never forget that Velez header in the 1-1 tie against Bullshite in the 2nd game of the season.
