Not yet. Since different blocks of tickets are being sold to Platinum and Gold listers, I expect to get an e-mail once Platinum listers are taken care of. I'll be sure to post any information if I get an e-mail in the next several days.

Depends on how high on the Red List you are.
The # of seats availible is 800-850.
The number of seats being offered to the Platinum list is 250,
This leaves 550-600 seats for the Red list. There are thousands on the list.

I know you're just the messenger...but that number is BS!!!

it should be 50-50...if that.

giving about a 1/3 to SSH is garbage.

why don't they start calling the people with 20 tickets, and ask how big their family is....and take some of them back....

Gold listers, including myself, will get priority over Red listers for the remaining seats. Given the quantity of tickets available minus the quota for the Platinum list, I doubt that anyone from the Red list will get seasons this time around.

Im quite upset.
I emailed back(within the time) with an interest in 2 extra tickets. I got an auto-response saying my guy was out of the office that day (So I know he received it) and still nothing,
I should be high up on the list as I was the 7th person to ever sign up for season tickets.

If there is a 112 left (which I doubt), I will grab it and make it available to RPB on a game to game basis - at least we fill that section with our own.

Decided not to take up the offer of more seats. Would have loved to get another pair for friends/family esp my nephew, but I can't afford it.

I'm pretty confident that there will be seats available every year - so, maybe next year!

Not sure how it would have worked out anyway b/c my rep doesn't work for TFC anymore.

well assuming that everyone invited to pick up extras must already have two(maybe even 1), then with 250 tickets available if each person picks up two then the first 125 people will scoop up the tickets, under the platinum list.

so try to figure out how many folks are ahead of you if there are appointments every 15mins...i think they will be gone by friday.

Given that most if not all the remaining seats are upwards of around $500, I don't reckon there will be too many takers, when you consider how easy it is to pick up spares on the Account Manager.

Let's guess that they do 4 calls an hour on average.
from 9 to 3.
7X4 = 28 calls per day.
28 x 5 days?
only 250 tix available.
majority of which are the Dark Grey Pricing.

I bet there will be a lot of people passing.

Riiiiight. Worst."Calculation".Ever. You're assuming everyone jumps at the opportunity to buy the 150 Dark Grey seats ($920 each), or the 50 Field Side Seats (which are the next largest allotment available).

Clearly, people sharing their results (which RPBs are willingly doing, much to everyone's appreciation) is a more effective method of gauging availability than make-belief hypotheses.

Sooo... thanks to everyone so far!! Congrats on those who were able to grab themselves some light greys / southends!

dude it was an appoximation to see roughly how quickly the 250 may be picked up. and just cause your not interested in dark grey there are others that will gladly pick them up...and if no one wants the field side seats then the 'desirable seats' will probably be gone sooner.

i will assume you are hoping something is availabe for you in the light grey areas for next week.

Cat fights aside, has anyone purchased dark greys yet and if so any idea on where the seats are located?

Also, does anyone know whether buying extra tickets now gets you pulled off the platinum waiting list? Obviously if you hit four seats you can't buy any more if you are on the list or not, but if you want a single now, say, to take you to two seats, is that your one bite at the cherry used up, or do you stay on the list for next year?

Cheers

I'm quite sure it was said in the another thread for the half seasons or gold listers that they have set aside a block of tickest (I can't remember the number) for after this platinum list is finished. Then it will be the same process you will be given a phone appt through email to call in and see what you can get.
Quite sure until you get a phone appt thats all the info possible, Sections and what not will most likely be the same as your seeing in this thread.

I believe there'll be 250 season tix released to Gold Listers - don't know if there'l be a max purchase put on that though. Would like to see a limit of 2 and a bump up to the Platinum list. If you're somewhere in the top 125 you should be okay. Now you have to ask yourself if you were one of the first 125 people to buy 1/2 season tix. I don't think I was. Boo.

Boo.

I think the number was actually 500 season tix (but assuming most people will buy 2) 250 new season ticket holders.

I think the most frustrating part for half season ticket holders is that we have had no information on being able to get our half seasons again, let alone moving up to full seasons.

I've talked to a couple of ticket reps and their answer is that information is coming but they don't seem to know when but one of them did say they coudn't guarantee that you would even get the same seats again for 2009.

They've really handled this poorly. It's early November and there seems to be more confusion than ever.

From what I know there are quite a few ways people got onto the gold list, I for instances got onto it the Gold list last year by buying a Canada Cup/Friendlies package for $115, I had been on the Red list since the begining of the first season, so I wonder if your place on the waiting list is based on when you signed up for it or when you were elevated to gold.

The Club won't let you buy singles!!! If you want another seat, you need to be prepared to buy 2!

Not true, but they are pushing for pairs wherever possible. If you have 3 tickets already, they won't force you to pick up a pair because... you max out at 4. I was going to buy just one, but I found out there were two somewhat close together so I got both instead.

A single is a single, they just do not want to split pairs, so if it just down to singles in the area you want, that is just you have to buy, a friend of mine got me two singles in 111, which was better for me than buying a pair in the dark greys for quite a bit more cash.

Also you have to remember that the Gold List is just not halfseasons, which I think were about 150 people last season, but anyone who bought the Marlies package, which I think they offered about a couple hundred of plus the Canada/Friendlies package that was offered during the season. I bought into the Gold List by spending about $115 on a Canada/Friendlies package.

I don't know how to copy those images into a post but this was from the latest info email

"As always, tickets will be offered to you based upon the date you originally purchased your ticket package. We’ll keep you informed throughout the process, and although the timelines aren’t yet fixed, we hope to contact you with more details shortly"

So seems its the purchase date of the package and therefore the elevated to gold list date.
I guess you could use the credit card statement and just take a few days before that date as I think it takes a few business days to show a purchase.

My appointment's not until Thursday morning... hopefully I can grab a pair for my sister and brother in law. We're in 222 and there are two vacant seats beside us at everygame. We bought them the marlies pack last season and we've been using the ticket trader to get them tickets to all of the games (they only missed 1 this season), and we're hoping we can save them some money by getting another set in 222. Luckily, they don't mind spending upwards of $800 a seat, so there's a chance, albeit a small one, that there will be some tickets for them.

If not, my brother in law is on the Gold list as well, so there's a chance there too!

The pdf invoices have an Invoice Date and your Account Number on them. Based on the numerous email sent from MLSE, it is clear that the waiting list is based on when you purchased your tickets.

They have also noted that next year they will be moving to a numbered list so people can actually tell where the stand on the list.

This is from an email awhile back about only the 2008 half season packs.
1. Half Season Package (150 packages available): Eastern and Western Conference, 7 game packages will include 5 teams from their respective conferences as well as 2 additional MLS premium matches. These packages are located in the medium grey price point, specifically in sections 120 and 126. The price for this Package is $226/seat. Specific matches will be announced once the 2008 schedule is released in late February.
2. All Seasons Sports Package (500 packages available): This package includes 7 games to the Toronto Marlies 07/08 season as well as 7 games to the 2008 Toronto FC Season. The TFC portion of this package is located in the light grey price and medium grey price points specifically in sections 226, 219, and 110 while the Marlies games will be in the "side" price point. The price for this package starts at only $280/seat for all 14 games!

So judging by that, and if they sold them all, it would be 650 from 2008 not including those from 2007 that did not get full seasons from the gold list in between that 2007-2008 season.

Very true, so i guess you could also think that they will most likely will try to get another pair of full seasons so its hard to guess how many people will actually get a chance at tickets.
I mean there were 650 half seasons tickets, not necessarily buyers, and the estimates from people of about 500ish tickets available to gold listers (not including as people have said above international packages and previous gold listers) looks like not everyone is going to get a chance. So not to try to stir up bad news but the estimates of tickets available seems a bit high to me?!? and therefore don't see the chances getting all the way to the international packages as they were later in the year.

Then again this is assuming all half seasons were sold. All in all this is a bunch of guessing that will be made clear in like a week when those gold listers get their email. Imagine being on whatever the Leafs' waiting list is like haha.

But don't you think that most people who bought these packages, bought them in pairs and therefore the amount of people that were elevated to the Gold List could in fact be closer to 325 than 650?

I wouldn't think so. Closer to 500 than 650, maybe, but significantly higher than 325.

Of course, I have nothing to base this on other than the fact that I only had one half (x2 seats) as did the bloke in the next two seats.

My roomate bought 4 with his buddies, and it's unlikely that they were the only group to purchase.
It's likely to balance out to close to 2 seats per account.

In the end its just the amount of tickets that really matter, assuming most people will be allowed and will buy the same amount of tickets that they had of half seasons.
So if thats the case in the end it shouldn't matter if it is two people each with a single in front of you on the list or if its just one person with a pair. If they want to renew thats two tickets gone either way.
Now if they allow each person to grab more tickets then they had half seasons then the amount of people will matter.

Emm...doesn't this then bolster the argument that I was using? I'm saying that from the email it was stated that there was 650 packages available. My assumption is that most of the people who bought packages bought more than one. You yourself said you had two.

From what I remember when the Marlies package was put up for sale, their was quite a negative mood towards it on the board, forced to buy hockey tix, so I tend to believe that not all 500 were sold but that is just my opinion.

Lol....then there was guys like me who had no choice but to buy those seats anyways (only package I was offered) and just didn't go to the hockey games. Got a few emails from my rep asking what was wrong - "Marlies have reported you haven't been to any games, did you get your tickets?".....Wanker!

Keep in mind they offered the All Seasons Pack twice. Here's my previous post to another thread. I tired to be as accurate as I could based on the emails form MLSE I have kept since last year. My best guess of how the Gold List may break down.

The original offer was for the All Seasons Pack in October.

Here's a portion of that email:

The All Seasons Sports Pack is your exclusive opportunity to Experience The Passion of Toronto Marlies hockey at Ricoh Coliseum and feel the floors shake at BMO Field with Toronto FC.

...

Purchase your All Seasons Sports Pack before October 15 and you can enjoy an eighth Toronto Marlies game on us next Saturday, October 20th when Ricoh Coliseum goes red for Toronto FC Night. Your October 20th Marlies ticket also gets you into the pre-game Tailgate Party and BBQ at BMO Field. Be one of the first 3,000 fans through the doors of Ricoh Coliseum and receive a free Marlies / FC reversible toque.

...

Then in November they offer the Half Season along with the All Season Again

Here is that email:

Toronto FC is about to announce a sell out of Full Season ticket packages for 2008. With that said, as a member of the Red Waiting List we wanted to offer you first crack at the final ticket packages before they go on sale to the general public.
We will be starting a week long onsale beginning Monday, November 12th at 2:00 PM.

...

Ticket options for next season are:
Neither the Half Season Packages nor the All Season Sports Package will include the L.A. Galaxy match.
Similar to last year, those who purchase either a Half Season or an All Seasons Sports Package will be upgraded to the Gold waiting list for 2008.

So here's my guess on how the Gold List may break down:

1st - Purchasers half-season packs the inaugural season
2nd - Purchasers of All Season Packs offered last October
3rd / 4th- Purchasers of Half Season & All Season offered last November (my guess is the 150 Half Season went first but some may have bought the All Season Pack)
5th - Purchasers of Concacaf or other promos to upgrade to Gold.

About 50 singles left from $920 a seat and up - no pairs. There were a few in 109, nothing in the south end. I did not too bad - I found a single 4 rows back and 4 seats down from my 3 in 109.

Much like Afra posted earlier, I too did ok - I picked up a single 4 rows down and 2 seats over from my pair in 109.

The email they sent in October stated is would be late November for the Gold List.

As a member of the Gold Waiting List, you will get the first opportunity to purchase any remaining Season Seat packages as well as partial packages late next month. Your chance to purchase will be based on when you first purchased a ticket package (inception date).

My guess is information will come out later this week at the earliest. Most likely next week.

Dre

The E-Mail states late "next month", since I got the E-Mail mid September, should't we have heard about it last month then?

It also says "We will provide you with more details in the next few weeks." I don't know where I would be on the list, or if I'll get tickets, but I wouldn't have minded if there was more/better communication about where they were in the process.

I know they just finished with the platinum list, and do not expect an E-Mail immediately, just some updates throughout the process would have been nice.

Many half season ticket holders will get a chance at full seasons, but it will depend on where you are in priority. Every account is time stamped as to when they first purchased their half seasons and we will set up appointment times from that. I talked with a rep today to clear up some details on an account I have. The information they had was the email may go out tomorrow. If not, it will be early next week. They said the email will tell you when your appointment will be to purchase any available season ticket packages. The process will be the same as this year's STH renewal.

I just called the FO and was told that Gold list members should receive an email by "end of day Monday" (November 24). Unlike last year, the reps will be calling the waiting list member. The calls will be made in the order members appear on the list, and will detail for that member what "packages" are available for purchase. (Sorry, I don't know anything about what these packages involve.)

So, what happens if a list member doesn't have access to a phone at work? Will they need to take the day off work so they can be available?

Any comments from someone who has actually dealt with a similar situation would be appreciated.

I really hope that they are not going to be calling us. I would much rather have an appointment that I can call them for. I know it makes it easier for them to go down their list and they don't have to answer calls from people calling ahead of their time slot. Problem I have is that depending on what my time slot is, I will most likely have to call them to update them on the number I will be at since I am all over the place for my job and then hope the rep doing the calling has the updated number or I am screwed. Oh well, no point in worrying about it until I see the email I guess.

I have to agree with Joe Kool and say I would perfer to call them. The next few weeks I'm in meetings and I can't tell my clients "can you hold on a second, I have to get season tickets" but that's nobody's fault I guess I'm screwed too. I'll keep on trying though. Also I hope in the email they give us information on what's available. I don't want them calling and saying that they only have the $1200 per seat tickets left (Which it sounds like that is what's going to happen).

On that note I totally understand and believe it's a fair process and congrats to all season ticket holders. Here's to hopefully becoming one.

Calling them would be a nightmare. They would, again, have to give a group of people the same time slot, which would mean you might get screwed if the phone lines are busy. I would suggest finding someone you know who is free and giving MLSE their number to call (if that's possible).

I agree with you on the seats available thing though. Paul said they held back tickets for gold listers, but I don't know which price point.
