For a playoff games folks. A phkn playoff game. If MLS wants to increase the strength of this league, then drop the weak teams. End of story.

it's stuff like this that further feeds my belief that they should drop the playoffs and just have a Cup final.
First place team from East vs. first place team from West.

What a joke. MLS will probably want to keep expanding to US cities with no love for the sport too.

Not so sure. Playoffs are exciting if you're in it.... and your bloody fans show up! An anology can be made with MLS as a league, and the last team you personally played on. Take your weakest player, the guy probably only started playing soccer in high school. Has only one leg, and that sucks. Replace that with a best in league kind of player. Your team has completely changed.

Picture a New England move to Montreal. League stronger.

pathetic attendance, its even worse than their regular season numbers. and these are the superliga champs.... can they please just move the revoluton to toronto already so we can have toronto 2 and a non-mlse team to support.

If Chicago played New England here, I bet we'd get 5,000 people out to watch the game hahahaha!

You have to remember that it's beggars night (trick or treat), and it's a Thursday, and it's cold.
Why am I making excuses for the Revs? You would think that a 4th place club would have better attendance for the 1st leg no matter the situations. I bet the Fire pack Toyota for the home leg.
I'm thinking the Revs don't need a SSS of their own. Why hamper the taxpayers of Boston even further with a SSS that Revs fans will just fill 1/4 of the thing?

If you were wondering why MLS is reluctant to hold mid-week games - there is your answer.

First place team from East vs. first place team from West.

That would work well. Two tables, winner of each table in. I like!

Actually it's only 68,756. Also, the stadium is at least 45 minutes outside the city. How do you expect people to make it for a 7pm kickoff after finishing work at 5 and beating rush hour traffic (no public transit to the stadium)? The attendance is a reflection of location, they need a stadium inside the city.

Makes sense. Also doesn't help that it is on a weekday. Why don't they just have all the games on the weekend?? It's not like there is that many schedualing problems in terms of building being used.

The TV ratings would tell if their "fans" cared.
