Hello,

just wanted to remind you that those who don't subscribe to CBC Bold can still watch the game live on www.cbcsports.ca

Also, because our website revealed its new look yesterday, the stream setup doesn't look the same as it once was.

You'll notice that on the left hand side, below the scoreboard and above the video player, is a schedule of events. Use the scrollbar on the schedule to find the listing for the Dallas-Toronto game (at 8:30, it'll say WATCH NOW and be highlighted in yellow).

Click on the WATCH NOW, it'll take you to a new screen and the stream will start in about 20-30 seconds.

Can't you just double click the video and get the full screen? or did that change with the new format?

It's too bad that I can't see it in England. I've paid taxes for years, you'd think I could have some sort of sign in as a Canadian... Oh, well...

Unfortunately, MLS requires us to geo-fence the streams.

I guess they don't want supporters outside the US and Canada. Now I have MLSTV but it is extremely poor quality and the American announcers are unbearable at times. The whole point of the Beckham signing was to expand the brand and then limitations are created to make it more difficult to watch. Oh well, thanks for the link and info, it's been a thorn in my side for a while, it's not going to change so I'll stop whining.

Try a ctrl click. I'm on a MacBook Pro. Or download Quicktime and run it through that.

I'm no expert on the matter but can't you just use a Canadian proxy to get around the "geo-fence"?

search: canadian free proxy. you should get a list of proxies that you can use to get the CBC feed -- basically bouncing your feed off of a server in Canada so the blackout crap is avoided.

Yes, we wouldn't want MLS losing out on the millions that they are evidently making from European television rights would we! :noidea:

You are a scholar and a gentleman.

And King, it's not CBC's fault. This sort of thing is standard practice for stuff like this (i.e. any league -- the NBA, NHL etc. has the same rules).

I'm annoyed with MLS.tv too. I don't understand why so many games are not available. I could understand them blacking it out in N. America so as not to draw viewers away from the TV, but why can't they make the stream available outside N. America for international fans?
