Mine is late Friday...

It talks about not being able to purchase extra tickets a few times...

And, it says renewal rate was over 95% - that's pretty damn good...

I would really have to be in the gambling spirit to feel like going down there... the odds of finding something are slim to none!

honestly, your appointment makes no difference because you never know what people will move out of there seats on Thursday.

If you want to re-locate - go for it... You never know when seats open up for moving etc... Have a beer and head down for fun...

If you want to buy extra tickets - don't! They're not selling additional seats at this event...

i'm hoping some of the disgruntled prawns did not renew, so i can move in... :)

at 95% renewal there still has to be about 800 seats that are now available.
since people can't buy more at these appointments, there's probably some leeway in moving around.. but it won't be distributed evenly across the sections i assume. i'd like to know the renewal rate by price point.

Lol... I'm Friday @ 6pm!

TImes and dates dont really matter anyway.....it all depend who comes in and relocates close to your time...

for example....some soccer mom who has tickets in 115 and wants to get out of the southend has an appointment at friday 5:00pm t....thats no good to the guy who had the first opening on weds at 9:00am :)...its better for the guy sho has the 5:30 6pm slot on the friday...

so to think you have no chance.cause your on the friday...dosent come into play! ;)

The only benefit to being the first in relocation appointments is to have a first crack look at the 4% (~96% renewal rate since it's over 95%?) of seats that didn't renew this year (16,000 x 4% = 640 seats).

the process is BS.
i hate it!!!

i am in 116, and would like to get louder...but only if someone in the more desirable sections just happen to move right before me...what if they want to do a straight swap...the FO should facilitate this.

flatpicker
10-14-2008, 01:29 PM
^ I think you could probably do a swap if you know someone who wants to switch with you.

You just need to sign over the seats to each other... pretty sure it's doable.

Thursday at 11:30. I'm not getting my hopes up.

This lottery is total BS. Convoluted, overly complicated and pointless.
They could save so much time and money by hiring a 1st-year computer science student to write what would be a very simple program to sort it all out.
More people would get what they want too. Grrr.
I hate this process so much!

Look at the positive. The fact that you have to show up in person increases your odds. If they sent an email out saying click this link if you want to sign up for the ticket lottery you'd have a better chance of hitting the 6/49.

Granted, it does suck if you take a day off work for it and then get stiffed.

Good luck at any rate, and may the RPB force will be with you.

Fort Rouillé Toronto
10-15-2008, 10:14 AM
Just back from Wed. 9:00 A.M.
As much as being in the first group is good, it's not everything.
We wanted to switch out 3 in the top of 118 for something better.
There were 4 together in 117, but that would have put us above the 6 max, as you can't leave a single, and this was re-allocation only and not for buying extras.
We opted to split the 3 for a single and a pair. The fact that somone in the first group (our group) was dropping 3 together in 116, or another was dropping a single in 113 didn't help us as these were not available to us, only to those in the next groups.
So timing and chance play a big part in the re-allocation process.
By the way - lots available in the upper part of 127.
Good luck to those going, and even better luck to those waiting for phone calls.
See you Saturday.

I had a later am appointment and there was not much in the southend at that time. A couple seats in 118 and 3 in 116. There were a lot in mid & upper section of 127. There were over 700 seats available but they are scattered about so it does not look like that many. Pretty much luck of the draw though if anyone in the appt before you moves out of prime seats you have may luck out.

yes, I asked today if they were from people giving them up, and I was told that they were group sales seats.

There was over 100 in 127, dozens in 110, 3 in 118, 1 in 116, 1 in 114, 2 in 111, and a couple of dozen in 119 when I was there late this afternoon.

Im a half season holder in 110....row 11. I love my seats, but they told me I would be moved this year. I'm a pretty loud supporter, always standing (most times, everyone below Row 11 in my section is sitting, and my row when I am their is the break.

I am split, is it better to have half seasons in a killer section, or full seasons (if I get lucky) in a soccer mom section.....ugghhh..or worse....half seasons with the moms. We'll have to wait and see.

For those considering moving into 127...

Keep in mind that 127 is the home of the North End Elite.

When coming into 127, you are not just coming into just another supporter section. You are coming into the home of the NEE family. Although we all support TFC, we have our own ways of doing it, we have our own philosophies, and beliefs. If you are planning on coming into 127, please take the time to research the NEE to find out what we stand for, believe, and who we are, and be willing to accept, contribute to, and join the NEE Family.

127 is NEE's home, if you're not willing to work with us in 127, then please consider relocating to seats other than in 127, as we do have our own long list of contributing NEE members who would love to be in 127 with their fellow members.

why put "NEE Territory?" we know that's where you are. you're almost creating boundaries between supporters groups when we should be uniting. a few people are members of both.

I understand everything else you're saying, but don't make it a Territorial issue, because it's not. in that case it's only an issue between supporters and soccer moms/scalpers

i'm not trying to offend NEE in any way and i don't speak for RPB, but IMO, we shouldn't be putting it in those turf terms as united supporters of TFC.

I distictly rememer the creation of NEE to organize the section.
At the time it was carefully explained that the membership in RPB, U-Sector, or any other supporter group would not matter, and people would not be expected to change their alleigances.
What you've written seems to contradict the originally stated purpose of the group.
You make it sound like some sort of Dictatorship.

In fact those sections not known as such.

We do call 112 our "home" from time to time, but that's about it. We regularly acknowledge that we form only part of those sections and there are large parts of the section that are either part of another group or not affiliated at all.

Let's not make this a NEE vs anyone issue and simply recognize that no group owns any section and move on. Anyone going into 127 should recognize that it's NEE's home and be prepared to either participate or at least not object to what they do.

B-utiful...more supporters in 127 should make it rock all the more than it already does. As a percentage of the section, there will probably be more supporters in 127 than in any other section which will make it quite the sight next year. I look forward to seeing it and hopefully 112 one day will look the same. NEE is very fortunate to have the section change in their favour.

It's actually a little ironic considering the original "supporters sections" in the south stands won't have the same percentage of supporters. But ah...that is a gripe for another day.

That's all we ask for. It shouldn't be taken in a negative way or anything. When I visit 112, I respect the way things are done over there and fully recognize that it's RPB's home, just like I recognize 113 is U-Sector's home. 127 is NEE's home. That is where most of our members are, where the group originated and the section that defines us. Everyone is welcome in 127. Big welcome to all the new folks in 127. There's nothing objectionable - some people complain about flags being waved during play - but most seem happy (although they do sit on their hands for the entire game)

Year one I was at the top of 111. Year two I got 2 seats in 127, Row 14.

I'm kind of right at the precipice in row 14 between supporters who stand and cheer, and soccer groups at the top who change weekly, mostly sit, and annoy the hell out of me. I've had battles all year, but have always stood my ground.

I'm fucking delighted that the top is being cleared out and am ecstatic that real supporters will most likely be moving in. You'll be greeted with open arms. :) When I came into 127 last year, I was welcomed with open arms and the guys there are really, really great. I came into the section with a few pre-conceived notions, but also an open mind and I was really pleasantly surprised and I've come to love NEE.

I think the point that was trying to be made, is that 127 definitely does have its thing going on, its own unique identity. I'm so excited to get more supporters at the top and I'm sure supporters coming in from other groups and hopefully guys on the waiting list will be respectful and supportive of NEE. I always still feel a part of RPB, and aside from the friendly inter-supporters groups rivalries, there's no animosity. I think most who move in will have an experience like mine, and after awhile NEE will become your main, proud identity.

I've already heard from some new members at the top of 127 who are coming and ready to bring the noise. I can't wait. Bring flags, don't be afraid to wave them during play. Not the best section to go if you don't like flags occasionally during play.:D

That's a good point. The corner is a bit tough to see - i sometimes have to look at the scorboard screen to see whats going on. But it's nice to be within shouting distance of the other teams subs too.

Listen...

This goes without saying, we have much respect for the NEE... but you carry the RPB Member tag and make a post like the above? I'm confused? Are you an RPB member and a NEE member? or a NEE member and RPB via convenience? If so... This website is also RPB territory and if you are NOT willing to work with us and join the RPB family ( by painting banners or helping in any other way) then you should consider your membership as well.

Let me know what it is...

Which is why I just relocated my seats out of 127 this afternoon. I missed 2 goals this year because of the flag obstruction. It looks to me like about 1/3 of the section has been evacuated as the top third looks to be pretty much totally available. So, anyone who enjoys "atmosphere" more than football will have their choice of seating in 127. Because, really, who actually wants to watch the game when you can have a flag draped over your face?

a similar thing was happening in 113 this season. eventually a compromise was made where the guys in the front knew to take flags down quickly when play resumed or risk being pelted by objects from the back rows. It wasn't a good way to build an understanding, but it worked in the end. Let's hope NEE can learn some of those lessons without pushing more people out of the section.

If you're coming into 127, we hope you like to participate. The capo will call you out if you don't sing, big flags will be waved during play when it's on our side, and who knows, we might pull up an overhead or two during the game.

If that's fine with you, you're going to have a blast in 127.

I've been in 127 for a few games this year and had a great time. I feel very privileged to have snagged 2 this morning and then to have Gobi become my neighbour, is just like Christmas! I have many friends in NEE and can't wait to bring it next year!

The 'evacuation' is mostly the group tickets. Groups will be seated elsewhere.

So, anyone who enjoys "atmosphere" more than football will have their choice of seating in 127. Because, really, who actually wants to watch the game when you can have a flag draped over your face?the reason the top third is available is that those were group sale seats and were used by the OSA most of the time.flags are only allowed in certain sections and they should be expected in those sections. obviously this section is not for you.i applaud you for that realization and hope you truly enjoy your gameday experience in another section and im sure someone who wants to wave a flag will move in.hopefully others like you choose to make the same desicions as you, because there are lots of people wanting to be in supporters sections.

I applaud all the efforts of those in 127
The sights and sounds are great.
But I think if a persons view is obstructed by flags for more than 5 mins during actual game play, then I think it's getting excessive.
I just assumed that watching the game was the primary reason for attending...werent you one of the guys fighting to have flags in your section(111) last year ? arent you the one who designed the flags ?

I sure was... and I hope to get even more flags throughout 111, 112, 113 and beyond.

Flags are great!
But I think there should be a level of respect to those around you.
If you add up all the minutes- prior to kickoff, at the end and beginning of each half, during play stoppage (fouls, injuries, goals, the moments before a corner etc.), I think you will find there is plenty of time to have visual displays that show our love for the team while not interrupting anyone's view of gameplay.

Same here,Sec.115 in the middle of South Stands.:yum:

I owned 4 seats in 127,gave them to my coworkers, all of them went to Columbus this year,Chicago last year,I transferred the ST to their names month ago and now I found out they want to move somewhere else, closer to South stands.Apparently it nice to stand, cheer and watch the game, but to be yelled almost every game in case you are not singing it's not what they paid for.
If they move there will be 4 seats in Row 11 available.no,i think your friends come to the game to watch the supporters.but when they have to participate they dont want to.i would rather them move to other sections so that people who want to participate (but cant due to where they are sitting) get a chance to. obviously this section was wrong for them in the first place.seriously ,you are in a supporters section.SING !

Let's keep in mind that when folks bought tickets in 127 before the 1st season began (yes, I've been to every home game + games in Chicago and Columbus), it didn't have any special designation. If the first 4 rows of the section want to block the view of many rows in behind, they might have had the courtesy to see if that was cool instead of forcing it on everyone. Instead, they chose to alienate a lot of fans behind them. At the start of the season, lots of people in the section wanted to sing, chant etc. Now, a lot of them are so irritated by the 20 foot flags blocking their view, they just stand and try to watch the game. We paid our money just like you. It's not unreasonable to ask to be able to watch the game, is it?

But here's the thing, if you want to hold up a flag when there's action in the 18 yard box in front of 127, at least have the guts to hold it in front of your own face instead of above your head. Just because you're waving it where you can't see it, doesn't make it transparent. Just because you don't see it, doesn't make it cool with people behind you. When they ask you to take it down, you might want to consider that. It's much classier than shouting, "why don't you sit somewhere else?" and then getting all of your buddies to wave flags during game play just to make a point.

I'm just sayin'...

Signed,

Crybaby

I'm pretty sure we were at the same appointment. I heard your reasons for moving, and completely respect them.
There are many ways to support your team, and your opinion carries the same weight as the person in front of, or behind you.
I still own my seats in 124, but won't be using them for myself for many years to come, because it'll be a long time before I feel like sitting at a game.

Today I was able to move my friend's pair in Row 25 of 109, down to Row 11 of 110. I saw there were still south end singles in 113, 115, and 116.

Unfortunately, this happened because 127 had parts of it's section assigned to group sales. Had that not been the case, this would not be happening.

This will never happen in 112. The only thing that can ever happen is a) people moving out (not happening, the seats are too cheap) b) scalpers getting their tickets taken away (not happening either, I haven't heard of ANY scalpers getting punished, anywhere).

^^^^ i dont think this thread is being hijacked at all, there are apparently alot of seats that are open in 127 and its seems to be a section where lots of people can stand and sing and alot of like minded people like myself are happy with that and looking forward to that like myself. I dont care if its 127, 113, 212, 108, 223, ect ect ect ect ect as long as we dont have people busting our balls/wizard sleeves to sit down and "behave" and not be "supporters" and wave our damn "flags". I dont care if the section i sit in is considered NNE or whatever the fuck you want to call it, as long as we can get a bunch of like minded people together to support in unison and work its all good. One this is all sorted out then the people can start there own thread, they can call it welcome to 127 or whatever they wanna call it. Its always all about the TFC not the name of the group or whatever....anways, my 2 cents

dang i would love to move into the top of 110 cause my friends are up there but i will be happy if i can get into 127 for next season. We get a bunch of passionate people from this board into 127 then 112 is going to have some good compitition for best supporters section at BMO :)
Exactly! We all support the same team and circumstances are such that we can't, for the moment, sit/stand where we want. But in less than 3 years, I have moved closer to where I feel I can support the team to my best abilities.

We'd love to get more RPB's into 112 but unfortunately our hands are tied.

i understand, i just want to be anywhere were i can stand and sing, that is all. Any compitition with sections trying to be better supporters than another section is only healthy compitition and good for the stadium, team in general :) sing loud sing proud !

i have an appt at 730 pm on friday, who knows what the hell will be available to me if anything at all..i will probably be stuck whereever being a crazy person in the carlsberg section forever, im just happy i have tickets under my name now

Noticed 4 seats tonight around 116-118, 3/4 up.
I could only relocate 2 for 2 (rules).

Quite a few singles 110/111, south end (a few) and 127.
You will get a seat RR (and you'll never sit in it:D).

a seat where i will not sit in it, that is exactly what im looking for! I only have gone to my designated seat once all season and i didnt sit in it and i got abuse form an old english man for not sitting, and i had my liverpool hat on and he seen that and said "go figure being so ignorant" i think he was a man utd fan :)

I can't remember if my appointment was today or if it was back on Wednesday - either way I'm not leaving the bunker, so this whole relocation process really isn't concerning me.

From all reports, there is nothing in 112 - that's great that people don't want to leave (the section has been rocking the last couple game - great considering how bad TFC has been).

I just wish more scalpers would give up their seats for real fans.

its luck of the draw....time does not matter!

someone who has a 5:00 slot ...might want out of the southend for sec 108 for example..therfore opening up his tickets for your slot at 5:30...

its set up so..everyone has equal chance..no matter what time slot they have!

I went mid afternoon yesterday..and picked up 3 tickets in 113

I went to my relocation appointment today at 10, I managed to get a pair in the 110 supporters section. When I left there were still a few in pairs 110, a whole 2 rows in 127, and a good amount of seats spread out through the other sections. I'd guess about 200 in all. Nothing in the south end except a handful of individual seats and a pair in the top of 118 underneath TRN.
