FC Dallas to face depleted Toronto FC

FRISCO – Toronto FC will arrive without five of its key international players for its visit to Pizza Hut Park on Saturday.
On paper, it seems like a decided advantage for FC Dallas, but the club is cautious as it prepares for its last regular-season home match.
FC Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman said he has found that substitutes tend to have the game of their lives in these situations.
"They just absolutely play well," Hyndman said. "They feel they've been given a chance."

Canadian coach Mitchell won't reach out to Brennan

Toronto FC captain Jim Brennan doesn't want to play for the Canadian national team as long as Dale Mitchell remains coach.
And that suits Mitchell just fine.
A day after Brennan announced he would no longer play under Mitchell, the Canadian coach said he has no intention of reaching out to the veteran defender.

War of words escalates
PETER MALLETT

A war of words between Canadian men's national team coach Dale Mitchell and Toronto FC captain Jim Brennan escalated yesterday ahead of Canada's crucial World Cup qualifying match Saturday.
In a media question-and-answer session, Mitchell responded to the 31-year-old left fullback's controversial comments earlier in the week about the direction of the national program after he was dropped from the squad.

Impact stays unbeaten
By SUN WIRE SERVICES

Tony Donatelli scored twice and set up another goal as the Montreal Impact remained undefeated in CONCACAF Champions League play with a 4-1 away win over Trinidad and Tobago's Joe Public last night.
Donatelli scored the winner in the 12th minute when he cut inside a defender and left-footed the ball solidly into the hosts goal.
It's the second time Montreal (3-0-1) has beaten Joe Public (1-0-3) in the tournament.

was i blind during the Gold Cup and Stephen Hart didn't make Canada look good??????
The team looks so different compared to then. They even were competing well with the USA in that tourney. And now they just look like they can't get it together. it's obvious it's the coach.

The guy has probably the shittiest resume of a national team coach too. He coached the Whitecraps for a couple years, then bombed at the U-20s, and now he's shit with the nats.
