TFC at a disadvantage

Is there anything worse than watching a soccer game on a football field?
It's terrible to watch. The yard lines are distracting and it looks completely bush league.
But for Toronto FC fans, there wasn't a better sight than the Reds' 3-1 win Saturday over the New York Red Bulls on the converted football field at the Meadowlands.

Attakora scores lone goal in clash at Montclair State University
MONTCLAIR, NJ -- Nana Attakora nodded a Marco Velez cross just inside the 18-yard box over the outstretched arms of Red Bulls goalkeeper Caleb Patterson-Sewell in the 34th minute to lift Toronto FC's reserves to a 1-0 win over the Red Bulls reserves at Sprague Field on the campus of Montclair State University. On the play, Toronto pushed the ball down the field and out to the right side for Velez, who sent a curling cross into a crowed box. Attakora leap into the air and was able to get his head on the ball before Patterson-Sewell was able to bat it away for the goal.

In one of their biggest wins of the season, Toronto pounded the New York Red Bulls 3-1, thoroughly pleasing coach John Carver
By beating the New York Red Bulls 3-1 on Saturday night, Toronto FC kept it’s slim playoff hopes alive, but that’s not the only reason Reds manager John Carver was happy.
