I just got back from the Weezer concert at the ACC, and a couple of cool things happened:

first, Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo said he was a fan of Toronto FC (after booting a ball into the crowd), and then he came out for the encore wearing a TFC jersey... it was pretty cool.

mods feel free to move this, not exactly TFC related, but still cool...

It was too dark/far away for pics - but ya - it was pretty cool.

They even played a Nirvana song!

Something I forgot to mention back in May. When I saw The Verve in concert, the band came out in TFC jerseys and scarfs. The concert was at Ricoh right after the TFC game.
This post just reminded me.

I heard on the radio that Weezer invited all TFC players to the Concert but Carver wouldn't let them go as punishment for not beating Houston.

Oh come on now, how many times in your lifetime do the stars line up in such a nice way that you can launch one off like that.

Around here, it must be every 5, 10 minutes? :hump:

On a serious note, I am still kicking myself for missing the Verve.... that would have been one kick ass concert.

The arena management staff always give the musical acts some local team's jersey to wear to curry favour with the crowd. I doubt they knew what they were wearing.

Did you stop enjoying Weezer after the first two albums?

I know that happens, but they did do a shout out to TFC and some of Weezer are from this part of the world, Buffalo, Toledo etc.

So that's why Axel is changing into a different jersey every song. He's just not choosy what he wears like Rivers who, as mentioned, is an LA STH.

I'm done with the blue and green albums.

But I got Kitty Pryde

I liked the fact that he wore the jersey, so why are you done with the Green and Blue albums?

I can vouch about him saying he was a fan and coming out in the Jersey, however I had no camera, and my phone camera sucks. Great fucking show though.
