I know its not going to be exciting as the hockey one, where every sports station have 200 hours of coverage, but does anyone think Mo has more moves up his sleeve? or is the team set for the year?

They're likely set for the year. He doesn't need to trade now. Maybe add one more, but we don't need to give anyone else up.

Mo still has to get rid of his last supplementary pick......hahaha!!!

I think we have DC United's 1st round supplementary pick.

Carver did say in his post game press conference that they are still hopeful of adding a couple more players today.

One article said that he'd be a good replacement for Edu. Don't know if that helps at all.

I believe the article was stating something about a decent box-to-box mid with good passing.

Didn't want to start a new thread but is this table correct?

http://www.settingthetable.info/stt/default.asp

is TFC only 3 points out of a playoff spot?

"We've got two designated player slots and I'm almost certain we will use at least one of them.

huh? I think Carver better look again unless he thinks Ruiz is a DP

I'll have a story up soon on our website on it. I'll post the link when it appears.

He didn't mention names, only he wanted a striker and a midfielder.

He also "guaranteed" the club would sign a DP for the start of the 2009 season. Take that for what it's worth.

John

interesting.... I think if we do sign a DP striker next season..RUIZ is out!

Why is that?
Ruiz's is contract is guaranteed.
Maybe having 3 strikers and going to a 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 formation could work.

Ruiz' contract last till the end of this season unless mls/mlse want to resign him at the same pay which will still grandfathered until next season

might wanna play Ruiz and the DP, dont think Dichio is goign to be playing that much longer and Barrett will be off the bench

That's what I was thinking.
Esp. w/ WCQ next year. Ruiz will be playing for Guatemala and w/ his slowness in getting back (I know things are said to be slow in Latin American, but c'mon!) It would be nice to have some depth upfront.

Doesn't excuse either Guevara or Ruiz for coming back late. An explanation to the fans they allegedly respect so much was due when it went down.
