and he says that MLSE looks forward to more Canadian teams.
I guess that 'Canadian exclusivity' is a thing of the past.

Wow, it's really nice now that I'm able to skip CV2 all together.

no expansion of the stadium for at least 2 years he says.

That makes sense. I'm sure the reason they initially wanted the exclusivity, was because they were concerned about how big the market would be in Canada for an MLS team.

Now that TFC is a financial success, they likely see the benefits of having Montreal or Vancouver in the league. Especially Montreal.

That's reasonable. The current stadium is only a couple of years old, and it takes time to plan expansions, get approval for them, and start actually putting shovels into the ground.

I'm actually happy that the wait might only be two years.

Not to mention they're already seeing a drop in demand with a few games under 20,000 and scalper tickets (street and CL) starting to decline. They won't expand if they can't sell the tickets even when they're losing.

Were there other games this season under 20,000, aside from this past week's Chivas match?

To be honest, I get why our last match wasn't a sellout, what with all of the players missing.

with the hundred or so that went to Montreal that would have pushed the chivas game to around 20,000, so TFC?MLSE need no panic about attendance, they new PPB/Usector groups were headed to see Canada play. to be quite honest us at BMO saw a better game..

He speaks Spanish. First time I saw him on TFC TV was when we signed Guevara and he interview Guevara in Spanish. I think that was his first appearance, if I'm not mistaken.
