N.E. getting crushed 2-0 by Joe Public

http://www.justin.tv/sportcenter

I wonder if early exits by MLS teams will make the MLS H.O. do something about the cap and rosters.

and many of people here argue that top MLS teams could compete in the premiership.. if a team that has a name of pub and that it's the first time i;ve ever heard of it totally destroys the 3 times runner up team... it;s gotta say a lot about this SHIT league...

Mo should get this guy as soon as possible. How much does he earn at Jo Public anyway?

2008: The year MLS broke? There's a few suggestions in the comments that the MLS players semi-threw the game because of pay issues. This is obviously going to be a critical off-season for MLS, although it should be pointed out that MLS has historically done well against CONCACAF opposition.

Good! I hope other MLS teams in CCL lose as well.

I can't believe I am saying this, but I hope Impact do well in CCL so that CONCACAF can give Canada another spot in this tournament.

I think the only way Canada gets another spot is they need to have more
than three teams.

If we had six teams between MLS and USL and think it would be feasable
to have two spots.

that is just awful that Joe Public won 6-1 on aggregate. It shows that MLS is gonna have to raise the salary cap if any of these teams want to actually compete in Champions League!

I wonder how well DC, Montreal and Houston are gonna do in the group stages!

they won;t be as bad as the Revs...DC and Houston will do no worse the second in their groups, Montreal looks like favorites to finish bottom, but will be competitive, no thumping like JP gave the Revs.

well 1 thing Houston and DC United have is exsperience competting in Concacaf.... for the last few years they have been the 2 teams representing MLS. Back in the old Concacaf Champions Cup they usally got by to the semi finals. I noticed tho DC and Houston always seemed to really strugle playing away in Central America. They pretty much always just played defence and just hoped for a lucky ball at some point of the match. It may be a problem when playing 3 away matches in the group stage. Guess we will see!

they need all the home points and maybe a point on the road would see them advance..but odds are Houston will do better then DC.
