Yes, it looks completely ridiculious haha..oh man

It does, seeing as you're missing Velez and Barrett. But point well taken;). We'll have to see what Carver does.

Ja. Smith is off to play for NZ. I don't think Ibbe will go to the U-20s, so he'll play one wing, and push Ricko to a more central position.

daveisonfire, i'm pretty sure jarrod smith was actually called up for new zealand...

anyhow, i'd do something like this probably...

--------------------edwards-------------------
--hemming----harmse-----velez----------gala--
---ibee------ricketts-----rosenlund----jo smith-
-------------barrett------dichio---------------

that is, of course, dependant on dichio's health. if he's not good to go than who knows!

I have to agree with what C. Forrest and J. Dobson were saying during the game on Saturday. This game SHOULD have been rescheduled. It's a disgrace and entirely ass-backward for a league that wants to see its profile grow.

That's just like your opinion man.

With all due respect to the cult of Sutton, I've yet to see a tangible reason why we should start collecting money for his bronze statue.
There's a lot of, "without sutton it would have been 4-1" or "if you don't like sutton then you don't know anything about football"

Seriously, what does he do well consistantly? What makes Sutton a great goalie. Why is it that a sect of TFC supporters think so highly of Sutton when he's a joke to the rest of the league? You think DC's scripts to steal GOTW are bad? Well I spoke to supporters from 4 other teams and to a man they were all concerned that TFC ballot stufffing would mean "that stiff, Sutton" would be the all star game goalie.

Why do we give Sutton the credit when something good happens, but blame other players individually when something bad happens? For example, Barrett hits Thornton's ankle on a one on one and "Barrett blew a one on one" then Eskandarian hits Sutton's shoulder on a one on one and suddenly "thank you Sutton you saved us again!"
Edit to add another example. We have Velez play well for periods of the game, but screw up big time which costs of goals (sound familiar? sounds to me like sutton, play well sometimes, then screw up royally that costs us) yet we have people saying velez should go and Sutton is player of the year. Why are they, eventhough they make the same game costing type mistakes, judged so differently??

What tangible reasons are there for thinking Sutton such a great player?

I ask humbly and honestly because quite frankly I can't think of any rational and unbiased reasons.

He has one of the best save percentages in the league, he has, like, eight shutouts and he's singlehandledly saved us in at least four games. That's why.

Doesn't invalidate that fact that he makes careless mistakes that mark him as costing us games down the road, and a couple of times this year.

In other words, you both have valid points. You're weak-ass attempt at debate, however, is to pull lingo out of your ass.

"Rational and unbiased"? Don't talk out your ass. You have nothing to suggest Carts has any bias. What, you found a birth certificate suggesting he's Sutton's cousin? "Unbiased?" Bias means having an opinion, taking a side, which is exactly what you've done.

"Rational?" Like saying something is that case as a fact without presenting hard supporting evidence makes you somehow more rational.

Dipshit. Fucking pretentious horseshit is going to keep me off here today, obviously.

sutton is garbage. he started the season decently but has just been getting worse as the season goes on, like the rest of he team. what good is a couple of good saves if your going to let in a soft late goal every match. he belongs in he USL, only reason people here love him so much is because he's canadian. every canadan player on the team seems to get a free pass.

Hey potty mouth....
12th in goals against
7th in shots against.
10th in save %
tied for 6th with 6 shout outs.

And since you have problems with numbers, it's a 14 team league. 10th out of 14 isn't exactly "one of the best in the league"

That's rational analysis....as opposed to trying to sound like an internet tough guy, and making up stuff(I guess Ben Knight is right and journalism school is over rated for sports "journalists")...like "he has like 8 shut outs"...fyi.

First of all I said "like, six shutout", which obviously is a reference to approximation.

You should read your own stats. He's 10th in goals against, not save percentage, which says something about our defense. And your math isn't great, or you're borrowing from someone else whose isn't , because 76 saves on 100 shots is a 76% save record, fourth in the league, not a 69% save record.

Third, it's one thing to generalize and take a side. It's another to generalize and say "both sides have valid points." The former is what pissed me off. The latter is what I did to apparently pissed you off. If you wanna consider me arrogant, fine. If you were right as often as I am you'd be arrogant too. But don't jump into a debate unless you have something to say. I took umbrage with guy using vague generalizations to miscontrue the truth; you just took umbrage with vague generalizations, period, which is pointless and pretentious.

Bloody hell we're depleted! I never want to see Hemming anywhere near a pitch for pulling the crap he just did.

Carver mentioned using an emergency Goalie ... I say we just throw Craig Forrest in backup and hope the the best! He can announce the game from the bench!

Also ... Who will Captain the game on Saturday then? Both Brennan and Robinson are gone. I hope Dichio starts ... Give him the band!

If not ... Barrett or Ricketts? I saw Ricketts.

*say Ricketts

ps Garber should be shot for allowing this shit to happen! Anyone bringing "hanging" life sized Garbers to the game?

I need a mannequin, an old suit and a *toupay?* (no spell check on opera mini browser)

I'm thinking:

--------Edwards--------
Melo---Velez---Harmse---Gala
Ibee--Ricketts--Rosenlund--Smith
-----Barrett-----Dichio-------

With a bench consisting of: Monsalve & Gaudet. Hope like hell that nobody gets injured during the game.

......not to mention the embarrassment of some soccer parent kicking Preki in the nuts...

Saw that coming a mile away, TFCA will rue the day they agreed to let the OSA in the "house". A very costly mistake. As if cutting a couple of kids and their parents loose changes much. They've still got a bunch of head cases in their house.

TFCA should have started from scratch, not fall into bed with the OSA and CSA and their baggage.

sorry for the thread jack....

I have to say this, you cannot simply switch LB/RB with CB, some can play both positions, but most cannot the positions of LB/RB and the position of CB are quite different, they are both primerly defensive, but there are so many differencence, and this is not the thread to get into it. But the point you cannot simply move a player from position to position and expect him to be adequate. I like Attakora, but I am not sure he has the size to play CB.
