Ok, not really....but after the appointment of Edu to the cover of FIFA 09...TFC is going to be included as 1 of the 6 teams in the demo to be released Sept.11.

And this is not a regional demo, these are the teams for every version.

The teams are as follows,

1. Chelsea
2. Real Madrid
3. AC Milan
4. Marseille
5. Schalke
6. Toronto FC

Whatever, I don't care....that's pretty cool.

I wonder if there was a large percentage of people who played TFC in their online states that made this happen?

Good news, hopefully BMO field is in there :D

That would be great... I don't know if it'll happen though, I think that if we had a north end and a roof we'd have a better chance of getting in there.

It was posted on the Fifa 09 forums on EA Sports that he was going to be wearing a USMNT uni, not TFC or Rangers. There has also been some lists of the 48 stadiums in the game, but none are 100% confirmed and none included BMO or Canadian Nation Soccer Stadium, so that is quite disappointing to me. Hopefully EA Sports Vancouver (who is making the game) will release an update with BMO or have it as a buyable item in the online stores.

I have a 360 and this game will be mine right away, I know b4 someone started an online league titled "Red patch boys". if anyone is interested in starting a league let me know, and lets set something up fro the 360 when it comes out. We can all play with TFC it'll be fun hahaha....or any teams we want I guess....I dunno we can decide that later, but lets make something happen, it will be fun over the winter for sure.

So Toronto is the only MLS team in the demo. Somewhere Bill Archer is stomping on our flag.

I see it now thousands of people around the world will play this demo and use TFC as their whipping boy. Real Madrid 15 TFC 0 haha. Doesn't bother me though pretty cool that TFC was even included.

Cool! Those teams suck compared to TFC............................... haha

as an aside: did anyone play PES for wii? that is the most tactical soccer game ever made (graphics are terrible though obviously since it's on wii). you can point at an exact spot that you want to pass with the cursor instead of the game passing for you based on the general direction you want to pass. it's nuts. it's too difficult for all my friends that don't understand how soccer works though so we always end up playing fifa :(

Aren't the FIFA series games developed by EA Sports Canada?

As the only Canadian team in the game don't you think that even the guys in BC would want TFC in the demo over any other MLS team?

That would be a representative scoreline if we played them in a match that actually meant something :)

Yes, it's done in Vancouver. My guess is that is why TFC are in the demo.

Considering the Canadian national team isn't in the game, I'd say they don't give a shit. TFC's only there because Edu's on the cover and now in an American kit.

FIFA 08 was a really solid football game, and UEFA Euro 2008 was even better. EA has really made some solid strides with the series in the last year.

I actually prefer it to Pro Evolution Soccer at this point. Once you've got the controls down pat, you can do almost anything on the pitch in this year's EA games.

I've been with PES forever, but FIFA is certainly closing the gap. Haven't checked out the Euro 2008 version, but I am curious for FIFA 09. I have a feeling PES 2009 will still win the lions share of my time though.

How has the AI improved since FIFA 08? my main problem with the franchise isn't so much the controls, its that once you figure out the weak points, scoring becomes very repeatable (ie - the same types of play result in goals most of the time). PES AI evolves based on how you play over the season, which is really cool.

On lower difficulties the AI is pretty dumb (as is to be expected), but once you hit Professional, things start to pick up.

World Class and Legendary are actually quite hard.

It is worth noting though, that the AI in UEFA Euro 2008 is much improved over FIFA 08. The keepers are far smarter about positioning for shots and set pieces, and just blindly crossing the ball into a crowded box isn't as likely to net you a goal as it was in FIFA 08.

If FIFA 09 has sorted out the button lag as they have claimed...it could become more of an enjoyable game.

Euro 2008 was a step in the right direction...but the online cheating is insane, annoying and pretty much ruins the experience. Hopefully they figure that out as well.

Kits are getting rediculously good though.

Nike kits are. Unfortunately Adidas kits are going the opposite direction.

Of course if we look at Nike kits just a few years ago, they were terrible. So hopefully everything will come full circle.
