TFC USA

TFC has Carlos Ruiz! Alright! I can't wait.

Here's my lineup, a 4-4-2:

----------------------------Sutton----------------------

-----Wynne---------------Velez--------------Marshall----------Brennan

----Ricketts-------------Robinson-------------Guevara----------Jo. Smith

--------------------Barrett--------------Ruiz---------------------

Prediction: New England is the top team in MLS and we've never beaten them. With this run of play, I really don't think we have much of a chance, even at home.

New England 3: Twellman 17, 33pen, Ralston 85

Toronto FC 1: Barrett 90

Ruiz will give up a penalty and Twellman will score.

well, he should be, but, at least according to Landycakes, Ruiz has a problem in getting back from internationals on time.

NE is missing some guys due to injury and 1 is suspended (mansally I think?). Reis may be out. and they played DC on wed. could be a chance to kick them while they are down and tired.

Goal New England. Not sure why Twellman was left wide open like that in front of the net. Had all the time in the world to make sure he put it where it needed to be.

On the bright side, our guys are lively out there. Much better passing, although they are still having problems penetrating the NE defense. Aside from the NE goal, we've done a good job of keeping possession too.

- Scott

Twellman scored with a header, 1-0 new england, but Twellman wasnt being marked by anyone and Sutton could have stopped that if he was 3 inches smaller and able to get down to the ground.

Oh look, everyone, TFC is losing. We've never seen that before. :(

Yeah, it was a bad goal, but Toronto FC have looked good so far otherwise. Harmse in particular has been a surprise.

Good almost-goal by Harmse, on the ground cross by Ricketts. Wynne has also been pretty dangerous.

This site has a few different p2p programs that allow you to view tv, it depends on which program is able to run each stream, for this game it was TVU player, which took 3 mins to install and it looks fairly ok on the screen and it doesnt stop its a live continuous stream. I might just watch Bills, Inter milan, and liverpool games on this program. not to forget barcelona and real madrid.

Agreed. No matter what happens this match, if they continue playing like they did in the first half, we can't accuse them of playing without heart this week.

A lot of solid chances. I am still confident we will net at least one in the second half, if they keep playing this well.

Also, Julius James has to be benched, that was poor marking on his part and he gave up the goal IMO.

That was atrocious.

It was incredibly bad, yes. But that was pretty much the only black spot on the whole half. Toronto dominated possession, and the passing was about 1000% better than last week.

They were actually manufacturing chances, instead of just hoofing it downfield and praying.

While I think the playoffs are fading away, I don't think this game was the "must win" one. Dobson and Forrest said Toronto needs to win at least half of their remaining games, but New England is undoubtedly one of the most difficult of those remaining games.

Now, if we fail to beat Chivas next week, then I will probably agree with you. :D

Honestly I thought Ricketts was offside anyway, he should've chipped the keeper.

Hard to tell what happened there. The Revs defenders were pushing Ricketts pretty hard.

1-1 the final, Chad Barrett is almost your hero, Ricketts really should've scored several times, I think we should've won this match. But we do get a point heading into a home and home with Chivas.

Yes, we should have, but at least no late goal to lose it. A step forward. This is the best TFC has looked in weeks.

Captain Croatia

Ricketts should have put 2 in the back of the net, and even Jimmy B at the end. TFC looked stronger and stronger until the last minute when James took a headshot for us.

After seeing how overpowering we were for a lot of this game, versus the best team in the league, I am hopeful against Chivas next match.

Definitely a scaring last 7 minutes or so, and our defenders definitely need to work on their awareness.

I feel pretty bad for Ricketts. Lots of golden opportunities, that kept missing the mark. Still like the guy, though. And his set-up on Barrett's goal was brilliance. Great handling, and a great pass.

its a result. a loss would have been devastating but I still am very disappointed. If Ruiz doesn't improve this team's fate when it comes to scoring goals, the playoffs will be out of the questions.

Julius James can never be allowed to play again. He's just crap. a ridiculous vertical leap and nothing else. If that is what a start UConn player looks like, god help O'Briend White's chances of getting drafted high. I don't care what he did in the last minute...he's still useless

Shakes McQueen,

New England had a lot of players injured in this game. This was hardly their best team.

JJ gives up the first goal yet saves his status as a TFC player by heading away the potential 2nd goal.

If this was at the beggining of the season i would have no problem with it since NE are a great team.. but in the last run a tie is not acceptable specially since we are 3 points behind a play off berth. OR has everyone given up on our play off hopes this yea????
