For those of you who may have a little bit of regret that Cunny's gone...

...Dallas' Jeff Cunningham joined the elite "100 Club" Saturday but already had been rejected on a personal request. Before he merged into triple digits, Cunningham had his agent petition FIFA (unsuccessfully) to wear jersey No. 101. To wear three digits requires special dispensation....

What a fucking twat. Can mentioning his name be bannable though, he's a fucking prick, and these threads are getting tiresome.

Very true - but can you imagine the fun they had in the FIFA office? "Hey guys, come and take a look at this one!!"

haha it would have been a field day for them.

They probably loved it, getting to say no without even discussing. Now even FIFA hates Cunny.

maybe FIFA will change the rule in his honour, because he's one of the greatest scorers in the history of the world... it'll be known to youth as the Cunningham Decision. Cristiano Ronaldo and Fernando Torres will thank him.

Probably the only time Cunny and Pele would be mentioned in the same sentence, but as a frame of reference, here are Pele's stats from 1961.

GP - 74
Goals - 110

I wonder if he asked to get another zero added to his #10?

I love how Mo said that 100 goals is not really much of a milestone.

I do believe Mo scored around 350. And that in much tougher leagues before he himself joined the MLS.

Cunningtwat!

This is as pathetic as a rock band calling themselves stars after a single hit. Don't count your goals out loud unless you're going for an all-time world-record. Even the likes of Ronaldo aren't arrogant enough to pull this crap.

Should be the number of chances he missed in the last 3 years, in which case his jersey number would be 235872353259078235.

Wow, took him 273 games. That's one every 2.73, which isn't terrible but isn't great. in MLS it averages to 11 goals per season.

But suddenly, the picture changes when you consider that in the 2000 season at Columbus, he had just 2 in 20, and he had just 6 in 32 for us. Take those two nightmare numbers out and you get

209 games, 92 goals. or a 2.27 strike rate, getting up their with clinical "1-in-2" finishers of the world.

So tell me how much bullshit some people must've had to put up with while smiling and waving to put up with someone who so obviously has the ability, but is a total lazy prick?
