The New England Revolution today announced that the team has received allocation money and the number 13 position in the 2008 allocation table from Toronto FC in exchange for the Revs’ number two position in the 2008 allocation table.
The Revolution had originally acquired its current position in the MLS allocation table on Aug. 5 through a trade with the Columbus Crew that sent forward Pat Noonan to the Crew.
The Revolution is the top team in Major League Soccer with a 10-5-3 (33 pts.) overall record. The team returns to MLS action on Saturday, Aug. 16, when the squad travels cross-country to face the San Jose Earthquakes (4-9-6, 18 pts.) at 10 p.m. ET. TV38 will televise game regionally, while HDNet will carry the game nationally in high definition. The WEEI Radio Network will also carry the game.
