I'm even trying to come to terms with the anachronistic roster/salary rules of the MLS...
But I have never, in the 40+ years of watching football (or sports in general) come to terms with players who show no passion, endeavour, or heart...
And frankly I've seen too much of the latter this year from TFC...

Second...way to throw in something irrelevant. This isn't about MLSE...this is about shitty coaching and shitty playing. You can throw Chelsea fucking money at this team but if this is how you play...you are going to lose. Focus on the REAL problems, not made up ones.

At least someone said it. MLSE keeps getting tossed around as a convenient scapegoat. Mo too has brought in some good players this year (Barrett, Ricketts, Jo Smith).

This boils down to poor play (a few weak links in particular), and poor strategy (coaching).

I'm not sure how I would assess Carver's coaching at this point, because I can't tell if the lack of passion from some of our guys is his fault or not.

If Toronto FC gains the stigma of being "Maple Leafs, Part Deux". That is - being perpetually average, and playing without heart or conviction, the franchise WILL fail.

BMO Field will not remain a popular party for very long, if our boys play like shit every week.

Football may have lots of fans in the GTA, but they won't support a thoroughly average team in an average league forever. I like to think MLSE is aware of this. Once the initial novelty and enthusiasm has died down, the only way to sell tickets will be to put a decent team on the pitch.

Last match I went to (the FC Dallas debacle), there were about 6 idiots behind me discussing baseball and Family Guy the whole time. Three years from now, people like that won't give a rats ass about Toronto FC anymore.

forget the players for now, MLSE needs to take a page out of galaxy's book and get rid of Carver & Mo IMMEDIATELY. We need to do some housekeeping starting from the foundation of the team, we need a smarter and more seasoned coach and management team before anything else.

WTF does carver do during practice???? what was his strategy today?? every single player seemed lost in space!! we did not have a single organized effort...seemed more like a game of pick up football. fuckin pathetic...
it looked like we were preserving a 1-nil lead in the second half, no sense of urgency what so ever!
Carver is dumb as a brick and a 2x4 would be much more useful on the bench... he just has a big fuckin' mouth thats all.

Look the MLS is not a build for tomorrow type of league, because as soon as a player is good enough a bigger league will come calling and will take that player away. It's just the way it is,therefore, you need to get players that will win for you today, not tomorrow, because as soon as a young player gets good he is off to Europe. Therefore, this 5 year plan crap makes no sense in this league, you need to build your team to win today unfortunately. The sooner the TFC management understand this the better.

I still don't think Mo is to blame for TFC's problems. All of his transfers have worked out well, and even players that have worked out well elsewhere (Huckerby), were first discovered by him, and couldn't be signed for reasons out of his control.

The Galaxy are a different beast. They have the best distributing midfielder on the North American continent with Beckham, one of the best strikers in the league with Landycakes, a completely different set of rules for their club, virtually no recognizeable salary cap, and they still manage to blow.

No need for sarcasm. If you can't stomach the club anymore, then by all means don't. I was just explaining why I can't and won't give up on the club.

This is a painful time to be a TFC supporter, but I personally can't walk away from the guys on our team who do give their all every week (Brennan, Robbo, Ricketts, Barrett, Ibrahim, Sutts, etc.), just because a few guys play with no passion or care.

If that makes me a tool, then so be it. I can live with that.
