Meet TFC Players August 24, 2008

Hi Guys

I was at In 2 Sports getting my TFC jersey numbered this afternoon and I started talking with the owner of In 2 Sports and he told me that 6 players from TFC will be doing a signing session between 2 and 5 pm on August 24, 2008. The players coming are:

Danny Dichio, Jim Brennan, Carl Robinson, Tyrone Marshall, Abdus Ibrahim, and Nana Attakora-Gyan.

^ Yup. Met a lot of TFC players at In2Sports. Unfortunatly all the pictures that I took were put onto the computer, deleted from the camera, and then just 4 weeks ago my computer crashed and I got it fixed. Now all the photos are gone :(

You guys are fortunate.... I have to wait for the One time a year that Toronto comes to Hongcouver to meet any players. However, I did get a picture with Sutton!!! (it hangs on my wall) Maybe I'll get it signed next year! haha.

Just got back. Was pretty neat. Ibee, Dichio, Attakora, Brennan, Robinson and Marshall were all there. Had my Brennan signed so I had another one printed. $68 I paid just for the letters. Uhhhh how much is it at other places?

I went too, I was 2 hours early though, but was first in line which I guess was a plus. Nice guys.

Went this afternoon with my two sons. Both were wearing their TFC jerseys and got them signed up by the boys. Really nice guys, all of them. My 7 year old plays with the local soccer club up here in Maple and Dichio had a really nice conversation with him about that.

You know, in one afternoon about 5 minutes from home, my sons and I got to meet the team captain/top Canadian player, the team co-captain/midfield leader, the team's all-time leading goalscorer/fan favourite/cult hero, our veteran and steadiest starting centreback and two young prospects who joined the first team and have been entrusted with some very important minutes this season. Pick an equivalent 6-pack from any of the Jays, Leafs, Raptors or Argos -- could you see them making a similar community appearance, free and open to the public? I kinda doubt it.

The team might not be world beaters on the pitch come game day, and management might struggle getting the right players over here, but this organization seems to do it pretty much everything right when it comes to public relations and community involvement. Hats off to you, thanks and keep it up!:thumbsup:

I went down today and got my NEE flag, (retired after Edu signed it yesterday) signed as well as one of the TFC fullsized balls signed

Was great Dichio talked to me for a min or so

Also great was to see so many first team players at an event like this, usually it's just the reserves or just one or two, but to see the group today there was special

though it is somewhat disheartening to see that there was not really much of a lineup
