its official, NYRB win..... not only are we tied for last but we are now the only team in the east with a sub .500 record.

Rojas looks like he was a great addition to their team. Assisted on 4th goal and was laying some nice balls off all game.
Watching other teams summer signings just makes even more upset that Mo couldn't deliver anyone.

TFC is now in 9th for playoffs, according to my calculations.
NY is 10th.

i wouldn't worry too much about current position. The playoff tiebreakers are really complex -- it's not total season goal differential, it's head to head against the teams tied.
So we have to wait until near the end to really see how things are going.

But these games against the teams close (at 25 points) are very important as it may decide tiebreakers. NY really helped their cause in that regard vs DC, but they currently find themselves last place if you compare points against the teams currently tied at 25.

It's the statistics you choose to post. We also still have more wins than RBNY, with their win today.

Points are all that matter, and in that department, we are tied with a hundred other teams.

ya, and to say "we are tied for last" totally ignores the tiebreaker rules, and totally ignores that all of these east teams tied for last in the east are ahead of the 4th place team in the west (LA).

The 7th and 8th place teams are gonna be East teams, I'm pretty sure. So it's probably gonna be a battle between KC, TFC, NY, and DC for those final two spots. Unless some west team goes on a run.

and we are only 6/7/8 points out of the top ourselves, with 11 games to go.

all to play for.

sorry its just hard to be positive as we fall farther down in the standings... as bad as the last 2 months were, untill today we were always a couple points head of the last place teams.

supporting a team at the bottom of the standings builds character :). besides, when you make it to the top, it makes it even more special.

We didn't fall further down, RBNY simply came up in the standings.

I'm actually sort of glad with this result, as I didn't want DC United to start pulling away points-wise. All we've done is add another team or two to the 94-way tie for "last" (if you can even call it that) in the East.

We managed to win this week, on the road, with what was basically a developmental roster. We managed to get three points, when I know I personally was worried about us coming away with even just one. We should be happy.
