Does he starts vs Atlas? The question is not should he start (maybe i should have asked that)….

Was pulling him for the last 45 enough medicine or if you were Dunfield, would you let him on the pitch?

So I don't think he should play. However I also don't think Dunfield has it in him to sit him in what essentially is a must win or eliminated game. I'm sure he has some sort of pressure as he hasn't won any games and feels that Fede should be able to bring something to the team he's just not trying..so yeah I think he starts the game even though he shouldn't. And Dunfield does the same and pulls him at half like the other night if he's not doing anything again.

Doesn’t deserve to see the field really but can’t see him not starting.

Deserves to hear it from the crowd as well

I'd start him on the bench.

I think Fede is generating extreme ill will - which is not warranted.

We have, first and foremost, a roster construction problem. The team isn't built to use him properly. Not his fault.

He shouldn't have made himself the face of team unhappiness with Bradley. All that stuff about the vaping followed - as though that were some massive crime.

It just never works out for the player who does that, they get demonized.

He is not playing well. Absolutely nobody is. He has to fight through it.

You play the best XI. Start him.

(btw he has to be on at the end because of the possibility of PKs)

Agree with everything else you said. But even if we tie and go to penalties (even if we were to win them) aren't we still out? So does it matter who is taking pks?

^ if we tie, we are out.

^^ do not disagree with anything you said, but will add. How he got here is on management, that he is here it needs to be called out. I find it incredible that people will say there is no skill around him, yet his first touch is awful right now, he is predictable and his work rate is not where it should be…. that is on him.

Say what you want about MB or MAK (and i support most, not all) I never questioned their effort or dedication to the badge.

So if you are saying management is the reason for Bernie’s decline, I will take that as half the issue. The other half is all on Bernie and until he realizes that I am not sure he should be on the pitch.

EDIT - unless for some really odd reason we are up 2 - Nil and he is all in

In addition, if this season is a write off and - let's face it - it is, then there's value to gaining as much information to make key decisions as possible

The Italian contracts remain big, contentious issues. So play them and give them every chance to prove one way or another what we should try and do next season - at least as best they can, in these circumstances

Some valid points, at the same time though he made MAK the lightning rod for fan frustration. The second son comment effectively ended MAK’s tenure in Toronto. Could have come out at any point and made a comment to support him but Fede never did. MAK’s play was not god but neither was Fede’s and I would argue only one of them was putting in effort. He sulks on the field, the red card was quitting without quitting. He is not showing himself to be a good teammate in any way. I think a degree of ill will is warranted-it’s up to him to put in the effort to turn things around

I might wait to see all the data before I put in my answer...

^ More for the discussion than the result. No one thinks they will sit him, after that half effort coming off of a red card.

Still going to hold off until all the possible data is in...

Dunfield gets a bit of respect here.

Berna was first guy over to the south stand post game. Had a big ice pack strapped to his hammy so either lower body fc or play acting. Team looked better without him though

He is scoreless in 18 games, man what a great start for him here and to have it fizzle out like it has, feel for everything about this all around, nobody here wants this, nobody planned for it, it just simply sucks what has happened.
