More scoreboard watching ahead, we need our boys to put a good performance on the field and hopefully the rest will fall into place. With such a congested Eastern conference 5th to 13th are only separated by 7 points. Here’s what’s happening this weekend

Saturday, August 13:
Orlando @ Red Bulls – 6pm – Orlando struggling lately with only one win in eight. But they crushed the Red Bulls in the U.S Open 5-1 a couple weeks ago. We have a better shot at catching Orlando right now as they are only 4 points ahead of us.

D.C. @ New England – 7:30pm – Revs are also only 4 points ahead of us and D.C. with their recent signing of Benteke could possibly generate much needed offense for them. Ideally in our running that will happen and they can take the 3 points from New England

Chicago @ Philadelphia – 7:30pm – I joked the last time I wrote this saying Chicago might be rounding into form and they have gone undefeated since they played us 5 games ago. Philly has been pretty good, but they also just lost to Cincinnati so anything is possible here. Ideally Philly takes it

Atlanta @ Cincinnati – 7:30pm - Could be a good match up between these two, Cincy score lots but also let lots in. Maybe a tie here so we can keep Cincy close and in our sights.

NYC FC @ Miami – 8pm – Well, once again we probably want Miami to lose this so we can keep them close. NYC will have to continue to find ways to get points without Castellanos.

San Jose @ Dallas – 9pm – San Jose is one goal away from milestone 50 goals against, Dallas should be able to pull off the win here and likely crush any hopes of playoffs for them.

Montreal @ Houston – 9pm – Houston isn’t in our conference and as much as it pains me to say, we aren’t catching Montreal so this game is what it is.

Columbus @ Colorado – 9pm – Fun Fact: Someone mentioned we shoot more from outside the 18 since the new arrivals. Columbus has the lead here with 9 goals, we are in a 4-way tie for 2nd with 7 goals. Compared with only 3 last year. Colorado win would help us (Someone also mentioned Priso moved to 2nd team)

Kansas @ Austin – 9pm – Not our concern, Austin leads the league with goals and assists, likely will put a few in the back of the net and call it a day.

Vancouver @ LA Galaxy – 10pm on TSN – Sure to be another good match, both teams on 30 points and fighting to get above the playoff line

Charlotte @ LAFC – 10:30pm – If LAFC can continue their dominance they would do us a solid with putting Charlotte back in their place.

Sunday, August 14:
Minnesota @ Nashville - 9:00pm – Another decent match up here (not that I will watch) but stats wise they seem fairly closely matched…also another game that doesn’t matter much for us

RSL @ Seattle – 10:00pm – Seattle still just outside playoff spot here and fighting to get in a win for them would see them jump 3 teams potentially though. Or is it the year that they possibly miss playoffs, pressure will be on them.
