Other games happening this weekend. Are we going to see some new life brought into some of the teams with the summer transfer window opening up prior to these games being played. Will we get to see any of those players being brought in start or come off the bench. Are there any teams people are going to have an eye on?

Friday July 8:

D.C @ Philly - 7:30pm on TSN Philly has lowest Goals against in league with 13, meanwhile D.C has let in 30

LAG @ LAFC - 10pm El Trafico, do we get to see Bale & Cheillini.

Minnesota @ Vancouver - 10:30pm on TSN - both sitting on 24 points and just outside of last playoff position.

Saturday July 9:

New England @ NYCFC - 1pm Revs haven't lost in 6 games, last loss was to NYCFC though.

Portland @ Seattle - 4:30pm No comment except majority of their starters should be rested after the last game

Austin @ Atlanda - 7pm Austin sitting in 2nd for supporters shield so far. However they have got 3 red cards in last 8 games.

Nashville @ Charlotte - 7pm

Red Bulls @ Cincinnati - 7:30pm NYRB is top of east while Cincinnati is sitting in 5th so far

Kansas @ Montreal - 7:30pm Montreal had the chance to go top of the East but got handed it to them by LAG last game

Columbus @ Chicago - 8pm - Cbus just acquired Cucho.

Miami @ Orlando - 8pm Miami with 2 loss in 9 including U.S Open Cup, but the loss in U.S Cup was to Orlando. Orlando just won quarter final in pk's

Dallas @ Houston - 8:30pm past meetings between the two teams favours Houston, but not by much 18w 16d 14L

Colorado @ RSL - 10pm Colorado possibly struggling with only 2 win in last 8, however they came against LAFC & Seattle.

So why we have not been paired with Montreal?

Seems not every rivalry matchup is happening. No NYRB/NYCFC, Columbus/Cinci, Toronto/Montreal.

I didn't add it at the time I created the thread because he hadn't been traded. However, do we think Poz starts for Miami...does he score in his debut for them?

On the MLS site rivalry "week" is from July 8 - July 17. so it does kind of.

That seems to happen a lot with former TFC players.

La games are good trying to build up a good rivalry there since SJ is pretty much an after thought in cali. I can see lafc taking Over La galaxy in popularity yes galaxy have the history but lafc is getting lots of attention and doing well but they still new. Lots of things going on for lafc

LAFC & LAG like to talk about being genuinely LA compared to the other but there is no doubting that LAFC's location is closer to the core then LAG's.

If this is Rivalry Week...

Perhaps San Jose @ TFC is the Wooden Spoon Derby?

Philly slaughtering DCU 5-0 at half.

So I caught the last bit of the LA game and the announcers said they are testing out something in MLS Next for the second half of the season. When a player goes down for an extended period they will have to stay off the field for 3 minutes. Also if they get a suspension, they will have to serve it against the same team the received it against, the next time they play. Rather than in the following game. ( Thought we had a thread for mls next but couldn't find it)

Philly did us a bit of a favour with that beatdown of DCU

It is absolutely pathetic that NYCFC still play at Yankee Stadium. Atleast work out a deal to share Red Bull Arena until you get your own stadium.

Every few weeks there is a match where I do a variation of this...except with my dog

Cucho scores the winner in his debut.
